I think Finebaum realizes his usefulness is about over and he does anything he can to remain semi-heard by others.

This is over. There will be a slap on the wrist for the SEC to say they've done something, but not much. Because the fact is, for all the drama and blustering, LSU hasn't actually done anything the SEC can really punish. I mean they sued to get some players eligible, but it's not like other schools haven't done that with zero penalties. But they didn't put them on their roster, so I don't know what the SEC can really do here.

No, Lane will be lucky to keep his job through the end of the week. I bet LSU self imposes a one year hiatus from football, maybe two, just to make their stance on hubris clear. They are very concerned about upsetting Birmingham and losing the respect of the higher learning community across the south east. They are more concerned about doing things the right way than they are about winning. They are also more than willing to be the poster child to show what happens when you play within the legal guidelines, but those pesky court rulings happen to receive an angry finger wag from Bama, I mean Birmingham.

This will happen because Ole Miss always gets lucky. The best player is hurt, the coach is suspended, bad year for the team they are playing. The past two seasons they had the easiest SEC schedule. It just works out for them. Example, Vandy sucked for years and played Ole Miss all those years. Vandy gets good for two seasons and Ole Miss don't play them those two seasons. They always get lucky.

What exactly has he done that has actually broke the rules to warrant a suspension? That the courts didn't clear the way for?

Players are being paid because of the courts. Players are playing well beyond their past time limits because of the courts. This was an action that was cleared by the courts.

So the solution to all this madness is for all of the conferences to just get together and say, "we are going back to what we were doing 10 years ago." And all this clusterfrick then ceases? Well where have they been while this has gotten out of control? THIS is the bridge too far? We have players holding out from going to the NFL to stay in college to make MORE money and this is what has set the sports world off?

I never liked listening to him in the past, but now he talks like his false teeth are loose and he’s using his massive upper lip space to hold them in.

They will suspend him, and his first game back will be our game. Book it.

This whole process (or most of it) has been to get Kiffin to "Shut his Mouth."
As long as he gets the message and complies, All of the little fishies will again swim in one direction.

No suspension!

Yes. He will coach the Ole Miss game, and he will coach in the playoffs this year.

"so I don't know what the SEC can really do here."

The same thing they've done about NIL, the portal, unlimited transfers, length of eligibility and the other things that have trashed college athletics in the last few years. .

I'm not clicking anything that could benefit that big eared, noodle shaped, SOB

I guess my question is just how far is everyone involved willing to allow Lane and his antics to continue to be broadcast?

I do think when the dust settles, he is going to be corralled a bit........but also leads me to the question, is he a great coach, or a great recruiter of talent (including supporting coaching staff and players), and he just manages others and puts on the show so others can do the real work?

Personally, I fear he may actually be a great coach that just can't help himself in creating his own surrounding chaos

Has Kiffin hired those two NFL players yet, or is it just being talked about? Will they have to go to class and have scholarships?

Kiffin has already cooked up some stunt to get his team hyped for the game. He's been game-planning for this game since January.

Kiffin was backed by the LSU administration, including the AD. Is the SEC going to levy punishment against Verge Ausberry and the School President as well? Kiffin was the initiator of all of this but he wasn't in the boat by himself.

I understand , LSU has filled the last two roster slots, so, those guys are OUT this year.
The conspiracy theory is the two players they named this week have season ending injuries and are therefore ineligible for roster spots.

So, after the SEC drops its dubious federal suit, Kiffin will add Wright and Harris to the roster.

Not gonna happen, but its a great theory.

They’re not suspending him. Drama equals excitement equals viewers. He might get suspended from SEC media days in Destin or fined $1000 but he’s not missing a game.
Too many gen z’ers around for that to matter and I say that due to how they’ve turned their nose up at beer and Hooters, etc. . Us old heads care because we’ve cared about football forever so I’d say it will flat line. Now, for people who are on campus and will attend or watch at the tent, that’s a different story.

LSU fans are claiming that LSU is going to ask for a vote of no confidence in Sankey. Good luck. Also the charge would have to be something generic like LOIC or conduct detrimental to the game. At some point you have to reel people in. You can’t just let people say and do whatever they want

The Internet representation of the LSU fanbase is delusional. LSU is giving in to the SEC's demands, and they are claiming Sankey has been made to look foolish.

The federal lawsuit was suspect, but it got the desired result.

This is the part where we all say "no hard feelings" and go back to being family.

It’s insane. Normally LSU fans don’t phase me and I can get along with them. The old ones are great to hang out with because they know what it’s like to lose on the reg. The younger ones I just ignore because they are idiots. I had one talk **** to me walking out of the Clemson game. I had an Osaka Tigers shirt on (fence riding at its finest). He mistook it for Clemson and said “we beat your ***!” Then he realized it wasn’t a Clemson shirt and just said “oh sorry.” I replied “Nice squatted truck, homeboy.”
