I use an iPhone, iPad, and macbook air for work.
At $2000 to $3000 per phone...this is a hard pass.

That's a nope from me. The last phone I bought was probably 3 years ago and I told them I wanted the smallest one they had and he laughed and said all of them were bigger than what I already had. I would love to have another one of these with today's features and apps
I have an iPhone, iPad, and a 8” fire tablet. This would replace two of the three. I’d like to have one but I’m not paying three grand for it. Good thing is that anyone who is anybody will have to have one and I’ll be able to upgrade my iPhone 11 for a 17 cheap.
It's OK but I'll hang on to my 13 as long as Apple supports it. It does everything I want it to do.
I think, other than iPhone, my favorite non-smart phone was an LG that had a full tactile keyboard when you flipped it open. It was great for texting. The battery lasted a full week instead of a day.

I use a phone until it stops working (too old to support apps, mic or speaker stop working, etc). My last three phones have been iPhone SE unlocked bought at Apple - the last one was refurbished. I've never paid more than $200. Swap physical or e-sim and you're good to go. There are few things (if any) that I despise more than walking into a cell provider store and having to go through that attempted sale experience.
I wouldn't call this new tech. A smartphone really hasn't changed since the introduction of the iphone. They just add features.

3000 for a phone is an absolute no in my world, and the only reason I did the 17pro was for the camera, and it is worth that.

Yep. My 13 is at 72% battery health and I plan to just keep adding charging spots to my daily life so I can avoid buying a new phone even as the health drops into the 60%s.
Looks good, and it would help with doing business out of the office. I probably wouldn't get it just because of trying to keep it protected. My phone gets dropped too often.
I am one that upgrades every two years. I think that I come out better with the trade in options vs keeping it until I have to upgrade. Also, the battery is usually starting to decline at two years.

Same here but w/ Androids, most expensive one I've bought has been $275. I only occasionally use it to talk, I use the calendar a lot, and use it extensively to text with and an occasional photo and that's it. Why do I need to spend over $1000 bucks to do that?
I still go in the store and tell them which one I'm taking and make them do all the app/data swapping which I'm sure they hate because they aren't making much commission on my cheap azz phone purchase, but hey, its not my duty to provide for their existence
It looks cool but I’m not getting one. I’m on 16 pro now but I think I’m going back to the pro max on my next one
I have a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. It's probably got the best features to price ratio of any phone on the market and the stylus apps are useful. The ROM features are straightforward and easy to use.
New phones are over priced because the newer features are no longer game changers. Innovation in the smartphone market has peaked.
