Today, we find out what we’re cooking with on the DL and OL. Need to know if OL can impose its will in the run game and if DL can get home and blow up some plays.
Games are won and lost in the trenches…if we can’t hold our ground on both sides of the line, it doesn’t matter who we have at the skilled positions

Now today could be different. I hope so but one game against ULM doesn’t move the needle for me, but we go into MN and bring home a win, then we may be onto something.
It’s kind of a queasy feeling. If you’ve been a State fan for eons like me you know we may be about to find out that we’re still a 50 or 60th best kinda team rather than even a 30th or 40th best team.
And it’ll probably be pretty obvious, pretty quickly.

My only concern is that all the flowers they are giving K1 is that just them hyping every QB or will he be different. They have been hyping Manning for years. Nussmeir was suppose to be a Heisman contender last year. Mateer they were all over now that his hand is not injured (he needs to say it still is after that half). So is he the new hype or the real deal?

I’m having flash backs to Kenny Hill. His first game as a starter he was lights out. In the post game interview the sideline reporter asked if we should call you Kenny football. He said no, call me Kenny Trill. Everybody hyped him up and he disappeared.
Last week the sideline reporter asked if we should call you Super Kamario. He said no, call me Batman. Everybody is hyping him up.
Call it battered bulldog syndrome, but all this praise is making me uncomfortable.
