A state with almost the exact same history as Mississippi maybe even a little more racist than Mississippi, is making fun of us for being rednecks? I would suggest a deep dive into the history of South Carolina before any more posts. Just a suggestion. But in the meantime, have fun being ignorant.
Are you upset that Chris Lemonis alma mater fired the first shots of the Civil War? He brought a toughness Starkville has never seen. Don't forget you have no Natty if it wasn't for the man raised in God's Country....South Carolina.

What is funny is Mississippi State hasn't won a football game in Columbia in nearly 30 years and is 1-8 against the Cocks this century.

That's actually hilarious.
Not really haha funny, that's just downright f*cking embarrassing.

Since you brought up this historical anomaly, I went back and looked at how it was even possible. Wow, you were right - it is funny how fortunate you got with the timing.

We had won 6 out of 7 before 2000, so everything was rolling along as it should be.

Then 2001 and 2002, the demise of the Sherrill era. We had really shockingly bad teams. We were as surprised as you.

Then you got Croom for 2 years, and somehow completely avoided the Dak era. We won with Fitzgerald in 2016 (the only win lately). Then you dodged the entire Mike Leach era as well, so our last game against you was during the one-year failed Arnett experiment after Leach died.

I agree with you, none of this should be an excuse for losing these games, but the timing is funny and worked out extremely well for you.

It's about time for things to get back to normal.

So, you've sucked for 25 years.

Got it.

Hi, I'm @BTCock , you may know me as the official Financial Advisor of the On3 network, but you might not know that I also am the Chairman of the Welcome to Columbia! Travel Advisory Board.

First of all, a little history about yours truly: I have travelled all over the country to football games and have been to every single SEC stadium and most of the ACC, as well. Most of your ACC stadiums are the size of a typical high school so not much to see there. (Now, if I'm being honest, if I were to rate my SEC trips, Mississippi State would rank dead last behind Vanderbilt because at least Nashville is a fun town for a night or two. Starkville was lacking in, well quite frankly, everything. Restaurants, hotels, running water, etc.) So, I know a thing or two about travelling around the SEC.

Now, what always made my trips easier is an opposing fan giving some travel tips, so I have put together a list of some hotels and restaurants to make your trip to Columbia as smooth as butter on a wheel bearing on a shaved cooter. All of these recommendations are tailored each week towards the visiting fanbase.

Hotels

First up is the budget option: If you're familiar with golf you'll know that Augusta National is just about an hour down the road and this where the hotel derives it's name: The Masters Inn

Don't let the price fool you, unlike Starkville this place has indoor plumbing. They even have a pool where you guys can take your annual bath.

Check it out!

If you're looking for something closer to the stadium, try the Rodeway Inn over by Fort Jackson. I think they offer a military discount!

If you get homesick for the visual aesthetic of an abandoned barn, then this is the place for you.

Now, if you don't mind a little drive but are looking for something unique and upscale, try Trump's Inn in Orangeburg.

Don't stress about packing toiletries—reviewers report the rooms come equipped with pre-used, artisanal bars of mystery soap left in the showers by previous travelers. The local mold colonies thriving inside the microwaves provide a natural, earthy aroma that will instantly remind you of a hot August afternoon in Oktibbeha County.

And you get a free "Trump Duck" with every stay!

Now on to the restaurants:

I know how you Mississippi boys like to eat, so for you big backs we'll get right to the all you can eat options.

The Flaming Grill has something for everyone: pizza, tacos, sushi, etc. Just be careful with the seafood being kept at room temperature, but I'm sure you guys are used to not having modern refrigeration in Mississippi.

For a dinner and a show option, Platinum West has a FREE lunch option with paid admission. You folks can visit your daughters while they work!

If you have any questions, please feel free to drop them in this thread. I know it can be intimidating hitching up the wagon to leave town and go exploring, but we'll take good care of you while you're here.
Great advice from a guy that likes having "cock" on his forehead.

It's questionable if @BTCock is actually from South Carolina. He is likely just an AI troll bot looking for clicks. Whatever you do don't like his posts; he derives all meaning and satisfaction in life from his post-to-like ratio.

As far as running water and barns, don't mix up Columbia with Clemson.

Dude, relax. We don’t even like this guy. He’s a known troll, and a terrible one at that. Best guess, a CU fan trying to raise people’s hackles.

If you’re coming to the game, drive safe and get to the stadium early. Parking can be tough. Coming in on I-20, NAV will usually send you through downtown. You’ll do better if you go around to I-77 and take Bluff road in. They reverse traffic in the opposite lanes both before and after games, so it’s a better bet.

I have not been but Starkville is on my bucket list. Is there a grove section in Starkville with good looking girls?

Most of us aren't this obnoxious. BT loves to troll, you should check out the On3 Main Board sometime.
He may love it, but he sucks at it.

They aren't obnoxious at all. Just embarrassing. I'd rather see you guys bring your best and we could have a little fun with it.
