I have not been but Starkville is on my bucket list. Is there a grove section in Starkville with good looking girls?
I haven’t been since the 2001 game. I think we were both top-20, but don’t hold me to that. MSU did it right that day, and it was an important day for the country. We had a great day running the ball, and they had a great day passing. They scored a late TD (Madkin pass), but we recovered the onside kick. 16-14 final.

Before the game the whole stadium sang God Bless America while the band played. There wasn’t a dry eye anywhere around where I was. I had been to two other games in Starkville when we were living in NOLA. The resounding memory was the dang cowbells. Not that day. That day it was God Bless America.

That was quite a day indeed. I think it was the first college game after 9/11. The campus was surreal.

Sure was, and the fans were incredibly gracious hosts. I can’t say it has always been that way, but that day they were for sure.

The funniest part of it was how much time he spent on it.
you wouldn't believe the ridiculous amounts of posts this guy does on our board. I truly wonder how he has so much time to dedicate to troll posts... Then he comments on every comment. It's almost impressive how much time he wastes lol

Hopefully for the ones who make the trip, yall enjoy the trip to Columbia!

Dude, relax. We don’t even like this guy. He’s a known troll, and a terrible one at that. Best guess, a CU fan trying to raise people’s hackles.

If you’re coming to the game, drive safe and get to the stadium early. Parking can be tough. Coming in on I-20, NAV will usually send you through downtown. You’ll do better if you go around to I-77 and take Bluff road in. They reverse traffic in the opposite lanes both before and after games, so it’s a better bet.
Thanks for the info, but I was not talking to you. No offense. I do not care if it is a troll or not. I am just pointing out that people from Carolina looking down on people from Mississippi is ridiculous, given our histories are very similar. My advice would be, if you do not want your troll to get off the leash, then chain him up better.p

I say with this with no sarcasm whatsoever. I really do feel pity for South Carolina. I can't imagine how frustrating the last decade and a half has been as their in-state rival consistently competed for and won national titles while they became a complete and utter afterthought. I bet they stay perpetually mad online. Can't really blame them.

Nope. All good. Your commentary says a lot more about you than it does me.
Nice dig. So let me get this straight. I was not even talking to you. Then you make a comment based on something I said, I guess expecting me to be nice. Then you get your feelings hurt that I was not nice? At what point is any of this my fault?

Weird to see actual sports smack around here. I'd venture to say it's been well before COVID the last time I saw it.

Can't remember what year it was when all those Ole Miss guys left permanently, sometime during Danny/Freesus I guess when shlt got too real.

I figured the days of Banana Boy and the like were long gone. Interestingly enough, a Clemson fan.

I never said it was your fault. I don't think it is your fault at all. These things go back to the formative years.

Again, nice dig. But you are expecting a rival fan on another message board to be nice to you? And you approached me. I did not comment on anything you said nor did I engage you anyway. You felt the need to comment on something I said. And yeah, you are right about this, it is does go back to the formative years, like for example, not sticking your nose where it does not belong. Again, before you answer, remember you engaged me.

Please allow me to retort.
Your state has no identity. When asked for recommendations half of the responses will be California Dreaming or some shìt like that. Probably because half of your population is Ohio transplants that vacationed at Myrtle Beach and just said 17 it let’s stay in the state.

If Mustard based barbecue is acceptable, why do the Q restaurants in SC serve tomato and vinegar based? You don’t see real BBQ places serving mustard based.

Neighborhoods in Columbia are like the TV show Weeds, except for little boxes it’s all mullet houses. Bricks on the front vinyl siding on the back. If DR Horton goes under I don’t think you will have any new housing.

You can’t cook crawfish worth a 17. Your low country boil makes mayo look spicy.

Bojangles is overrated.

Your last senator was a closeted freak and the one before him was a segregationist.

Lizard’s Thicket is garbage.
