buf was everywhere…miss on my partBuffington
Buffington's performance can't be denied.
I think so too. For the clones I was impressed by that RB from Adel. I wish he had walked on at the UI.Buff
Honestly, I think he has that same grit that Wetjen had. Hard to put it into words, but I can see it.I think so too. For the clones I was impressed by that RB from Adel. I wish he had walked on at the UI.
ISU's DE Tirrell kept coming up in the last week. Seemed to me that Lauck did a good job of keeping him away from Hank.I have to go with Buhr. Clutch! Rookie kicker, big stage, made the first kick, iced, said mehh no problem, I'll make it again.
Then, game winner!
How about the holder on field goals…there were two poor snaps tonight that he caught & put down in place.diaz, buhr, or brown?
That wasn’t the only bad FG snap this year that Paler Emptykettle has had to corral. They need to get that fixed.Philpott, the holder, for corraling that bad snap on the go-ahead FG
It was a great snap if Buhr was a lefty.Philpott, the holder, for corraling that bad snap on the go-ahead FG
Buhrdiaz, buhr, or brown?
As per normal, Iowa's Defense and Special Teams won this game. So no-brainer it's Buhr. (honorable mention to Buffington, the punter and the holder).diaz, buhr, or brown?
The offense controlled the ball (and TOP) in the fourth quarter and put together a couple of nice scoring drives in the second quarter. We want more out of the O, of course, but I'd still say it was complementary football in all three phases. As per normal, Iowa's Defense and Special Teams won this game. So no-brainer it's Buhr. (honorable mention to Buffington, the punter and the holder).
Really, when has an Iowa punter NOT been in the POG convo? In addition to buffington (glaring omission) i probably should also have offered Everitt as pog choice. guy was money and we needed him.
- Punts: 6

- Average Yards per Punt: 44.0
- Inside the 20-yard line: 4
- 50+ Yard Punts: 1
Good call or give it to the whole defense because the defense won the game again. The early failed 4th and 1 QB sneak flipped field position for ISU and they got a FG off of it. Then a TD but the defense tighted it down from thereBuffington
A good thread @desihawk, keep it going after each game if you candiaz, buhr, or brown?
Might have been Eppy, Lutmer was flying around too and overran a few plays but the team speed is real...Who was the dude that flew by the ISU QB in the end zone which would have been a safety?

I am betting he was aware that his team was going to call the timeout. Only made sense to burn off more clock.Buhr. He didn't miss, even when his own team called TO. He's not chilled, he's just chilling. Made 1 at the end of the first half and then hit the game winner and neither were chip shots. At the time, I was upset with leaving the game up to a guy that missed an XP last week and also missed badly on a FG attempt but low and behold, damned if I wasn't proved wrong. And I'm happy about it.
I am sure that clip was played over and over in film reviewIosa Epenesa
Edit: Only his second syart, he'll come in under a little more control next time. OL chipped him a bit and their QB was elusive.
May be 1st team All-America..Buffington is going to be 1st Team All-Big Ten before he graduates. That will be quite an achievement considering the 17 other schools.
Epenesa, but tbe QB stepped up in the pocket. Not that bad of a miss.Who was the dude that flew by the ISU QB in the end zone which would have been a safety?
Agree.....he also got caught crashing down on a reverse...did not stay home. He got yanked early in the game and got his butt chewed.....not exactly sure why. I think it was ISU's first series???Iosa Epenesa
