Holy crap, just looked it up. Our Nike deal is 10 years, $80 million.

Well, the rich will almost always get richer because they tend to repeat their behaviors and general decision-making. So do the poor. Michigan leveraged their status as a national blue-blood brand and got a big money deal from Nike. We negotiated with Nike during one of the lowest points in our history of men's sports . . . and inked a ten year deal with them.

Regardless of when we inked the deal, We are not going to command the kind of contract Michigan or Miami are capable of securing.

I continue to be baffled at what South Carolina fans expect to be delivered by our program. The disproportionate dollars in this thread are nothing new.

I would like to have a bedding with Margot Robbie but alas; I’m in the same relative boat as South Carolina.

When I use to travel for work to Chicago, Milwaukee, Cleveland, etc- I was always stunned by the sheer number of business executives I ran into at insurance and financial services firms where the CEOs and upper management people went to Michigan or Ohio State.

They look out for each other and they are an attractive customer base for sponsors of schools.

100%. When you look how tightly success over the years has been tied to talent (sharpe ratio above 90%) versus coaching, it's clear that the "we need to fire/hire" threads are largely an act of futility. It can move the needle a little, but your players and schedule rule the day.

If they aren't going to regulate the sport, the least they could do is disclose how much a school paid for their team from year to year.

Of course not, but when you are at rock bottom of a cyclical endeavor, you sure try to sign the shortest term deal possible.

Currently it doesn't appear we are in a position to dictate terms.

Does anyone know if there was a competitive offer from Under Armour, or anyone else ?
