They didn't like the experience- didn't have anyone assigned or agenda. It was a free for all unlike the other places they've been. Not good. He does not have an offer from us yet, but just a bit of an impersonal/ disorganized feeling for them.

I mean are we talking an official visit? And what year is he? There are still limits on what can and cannot be done on specific visits. Other recruits tend to have very different opinions.
I can't possibly imagine an official recruiting visit without being assigned to anyone and having a very definite agenda.
If it was unofficial, I'm sure there are strict rules about what interactions there can be.
Oh I'm aware. I just didn't want to assume it was an official. It just sounded like OP was comparing two different things and that was the "letdown" in this visit.

This is missing a lot of information that would be helpful. It could be 100% true. However, there are many other things that could be going on. Without more info, it's impossible to determine anything.
Was he officially invited or just told "if you are in town make sure you visit." Is he being highly pursued or is he only highly sought out for in his own mind? We have no idea.
When my daughter (not an athlete) visited USC for a tour, we registered and everything was organized. When we stopped by once, obviously nothing for us was organized and we were on our own. Interestingly, she ended up choosing another school where our official freshman tour was fairly disorganized itself. But that wasn't what was important to her.

Yes, but his metrics will give him a low NIL grade. He will have to prove it on the field against real competition as opposed to what he saw at boarding school.
My post was tongue in cheek. No legit football program has recruits on campus without the visit (official or unofficial) being carefully controlled. No school invites a recruit to campus or a game and hands them a ticket to the game and tells them "have a good time".
Of course, a recruit can visit a campus on his/her own without an escort from the athletic department. They can (and should) be teeated no differently than any other student interested in the school, e.g., sit in on a couple of classes, check out the dormitories, etc.
Why are we keeping alive a thread started by a troll about a fake recruiting trip from a player who doesn't exist?
