OT: Anyone taking LEQVIO injections?

I can't take Statins because they make me sick so my doctor wants me to take these injections. Just curious how others have responded to this drug.

I don’t but I have a golf buddy that does. He also couldn’t take statins. He says that he has no ill side effects. Cholesterol is way low.

Is this another Fentenal, Phentanil, Fentanil, or fat shot thread?

Speaking of which I'm surprised we haven't touched on fat shots on here yet (as far as I recall) with all the rampant rumors that 6Packers are a little hefty

I am the Account Manager for Leqvio in MS/AR and I have 4 reps that promote it in MS. Since it is administered by a health care provider, it is medical benefit/outpatient product and does not go through retail pharmacy.

Where are you located in MS?(General area)

Repatha is widely used but you give the shot every 2 weeks. That's another option if you're concerned about tolerating something that's going to last that long. People usually tolerate it very well.

I wish that was all one needed to do. Was 8.7% body far and on the MD prescribed diet and still had high LDL. And yes I know, there a ton of theories on cholesterol in general.

Recently switched to Repatha from Lipitor. LDL now 39 after a month. The other thing I noticed, I am not getting as sore from weightlifting etc.

No haven’t had any shots but just curious….have you tried more than one statin? The reason I ask many do have reactions to certain ones but not all. I take an old one(Mevacor) and have never had a problem. Been on it for 20 years.

I've taken Lipitor and Crestor. Both gave me muscle cramps and nausea. Then my doctor prescribed a medication that stops cholesterol absorption through the intestines. It was the worst. After 4 days I felt depressed, weak and nauseated. Now they want me on the injection.
