66 1st game age 6, what i've learned older I get is just to view as neutral as possible. went as full scholly and 8 tix for 30 yrs, dropped it all when hired muschamp kids were out of college there and all 3 moved more than 100 miles from Columbia I live n Greenville it's all day affair without kids just decided to stay at home and save some $$$$$ followed muschump with beamer oy vey!!!!!!!! so my decision was at perfect time unless we make miracle hire don't see us making playoffs in my lifetime I enjoy the girls basketball, try to attend all sec tourney and beginning playoffs in gville thx DAWN!!!!!!! cant wait for their season matter of fact lose today probably at best 2-7 in sec, win 3-6 still think go n to Clemson pursuing 6 th win I avoid and don't read all football hype, its all bs only person I believe at usc about talent is dawn so I paid 30yrs plus tix plus educating 3 kids at usc, I've put all $$$$$ into usc and Columbia ever needed maybe my 2 grands will go to usc and it will be there parents time meanwhile I relax in my recliner go to my fridge for a beer and if game goes bad turn to other games , play with wife, go for walk etc 75" tv and i'm at 50 yd line next generation up!!!!!!!!

Actually, it would be considered normal to get nervous for almost any game.

Feeling good about today's game. It has been roughly 28 years (Brad Scott era) since Mississippi State has won a game at Williams Brice.

Freddie, I'm 74. My attitude towards these football games is the same as my attitude towards political contests: a win gives me a TEMPORARY, SHORT-LIVED euphoria. A loss gives me a TEMPORARY, SHORT-LIVED despondency. But in no case do any significantly change my life for the better or for the worse.

The only time I get nervous any more is when we are playing Clemson. Other than that, I guess I would be nervous if we made it to the playoffs.

As Spurrier used to say, "It is what it is". That's how I feel about gamecock football.

We usually play an MSU team deeper into the season and have much more information on them (and us). Again, I'd far prefer to play a dragon slayer like UGA early to try to catch them offguard rather than dealing with an MSU season bender matchup. Beamer is obviously set financially, but I'm certain he knows this is a big one after last year's dump.

I'm hopeful of a tight win along the 33-28 variety OR maybe a "where did that come from" game where our talent DC staff causes all kinds of problems for their QB, Sellers is on point, and we win in stride. This staff has put together quite a few of those at home and we're overdue.

NIL has mostly ruined college sports for me. I am not particularly motivated by the football season like I used to be. If we lose this game I think I will probably be done with it.
