It was from the book but they changed the women's origin from Afghanistan to Indonesia. Wonder why they did that?

The pussification of masculine heroes has got to stop. Reacher getting whipped by two little girls was ridiculous. Raylan Givens in that last Justified movie not killing anyone was just stupid. John Wick and Jason Bourne are next.
I watched the 2 Tom Cruise movies and the first season of the series, somewhere early in season 2 I just found something else to do with my time. The ending you describe doesn't surprise me though, everything I read about him paints him as the stereo typical ultra liberal, (not that there's anything wrong with that)

You have lost your damn mind. Reacher is the best show on TV and it’s infinitely better than the Tom Cruise movies.

Oh no the actor is liberal. Oh the horror.

So all 25 people he killed this season doesn’t count?

I saw that. I wonder if anyone else felt the same way. The other 20-30 people didn't have to put in as much work as he did for those little ladies.

Think I’ve read all of the Reacher books. The actor in the series only shares size with the written character. Bad actor.

just to be clear, I didn't stop watching it because of his political leanings, for some reason I just lost interest. This can happen for me when I binge watch, usually I go back and pick it back up.

I like the show, but it is inconsistent with its main character... It spends too much time having the main character run from the police. We got tired of that quickly. That is pretty much the case in the episodes between the first and last

I just finished it. Overall I thought it was ok. It kept my interest level up so that’s something. Too many series I lose interest and move on.

Finished Season 4 tonight. I’ve read all the books.

Watching this season, I frequently thought to myself, “Man, he sure is getting his áss kicked a lot more than he should.”

Definitely not consistent with the book character anymore.

Too short and too bulky. Reacher in the books is old school lean muscle and sinew. No way in hell to maintain a bulky physique living on the road. But mucher better than a midget like Cruise playing the role.

I think some women see stuff like that and it gives them a false sense of confidence. IRL, someone with Reacher's size/strength/training/experience could likely beat several of the top female UFC fighters at once.

He got his azz whipped by most of them. Like the B team guys he and her destroy them at first and all of a sudden the next shot the two guys are holding him down. Reacher in all previous movies and series he sneezes and people fall. He beat that giant last year. Now all of a sudden he keeps getting captured and keeps getting beat up and somehow miraculously he ends up winning the fight or someone has to save him. Now two little 90 lb women with 4 inch karambits beats the hell out of a ranger trained in every form of combat. They are <17>n' taunting him. He has to struggle to hold her arm. That was not Reacher. It was " I need help Reacharound".

Also all these people are supposed to be trained marksmen. We did A-Team shooting. Nobody ever hits anyone.

I’m the same way. It’s like anything in life. When you ingest too much of it it just gets stale. I finished the last season a couple of weeks ago so I know I need to give it another couple of months before pick up this season.

Apparently you and I watched different shows. To each his own.

It’s an over the top action show that would never ever happen in real life.

You guys must be on crack, the 4th season wasn't the best but it's better than most of the garbage out there today. If you had just fought a half dozen or more trained killers you probably would be feeling some fatigue before you faced the crazy arse beches. Those six inch blades probably hurt a little do you think. The character of the local policeman was probably a little pussified but I guess the writers didn't want the character to conflict with Reacher as the alpha. Overall, I would give it a "B". If there's a 5th season I will probably watch it but I'm not waiting with bated breath.

There’s already a 5th season in the works.

Along with Bosch it is one of my favorite book series to not totally be jacked up by the producers. I'm just glad they went with it because for a long time I thought the only Reacher adaptation were going to be the midget Cruise movies.

Yeah, he has one of the biggest cases of TDS I've seen....but that scene in season 1 where he killed that guy and then broke his legs so his body would fit in the trunk of that car....was badass.

The actor is actually not even close the height of reacher in the books. Just live in your Oxford bubble and stop trying to be something you aren't.

Just watch John Wayne movies…..problem solved.
