LSU fans are p*ssed. I’ve always had the feeling he would never live up to the high expectations at LSU but never was really able to say why I felt that way. I saw a stat today. He is 1-7 vs ranked teams when he’s in the top 10. I think the bigger the moment the more he self destructs. I don’t think he could have taken UMiss to the semifinals last year. He would have lost to Georgia. If you look at him the last few months it just looks like a guy who is overboard in the manic phase of mental illness. We’ll see how this plays out.

He’ll win there. He’s won everywhere he’s been. Burns bridges on the way out, but he wins. Coach O won there. Les won there. Kiffin will win there. He just needs a qb.

LSU was over-hyped, with expectations. When new coach comes in after firing one, what should be expected for the new coach? A lot of mouth , happened during this coaching change. Could not happen to a better team. lol.
He doesn’t fit the culture. I have no idea why they hired him. If you’re going to spend all this money, get Cignetti or equivalent. Who cares if he’s 64, that’s what was needed.
For the folks say Saban did this and that, that was the old era. Kiffin bought his team, doesn’t need year 1 lumps. Cignetti sure didn’t. Portal is open annually. Even fans can’t evolve, it’s not just Dabo.

the new era and nil is why Kiffin won't finish 7-6 like Saban did. He will win 8-9 this year. The fact he has Leavitt as a qb tells you the portal doesn't allow you to pick anyone you please. There is still some recruiting that has to be done.
Lane knows how to win and is a great coach. He built the team that beat him last night. His QB hasn't had enough time to learn the system and know exactly where wide receivers are. And the LSU o-line is weak and he has a happy feat. Echoles had a great game against those guys. LSU has 3 maybe 4 billionaires who are supporters. They'll continue to spend. Burrow and Daniels weren't exactly lighting it up their first year. Lane wanted the Washington QB and had to settle on the best guy still around. Meanwhile Coach Pete has done well. There's a DC who didn't blow up the offense after he took over.
And ironically the next one he wanted ended up not coming because of legal threats.
Hot take: LSU will be ranked ahead of OM by season’s end.
Lately, UM's success has been as much or more to do with Chambliss than Kiffen.
