I could see it. Can't have any more injuries. OL has to gel and improve. I assume 9 and 3 won't be good enough. Even optimistically its hard for me to see 10 and 2. LSU and Bama are possible.wins. Texas or OM will be tough
I now think we will win the remaining home games. I was probably the most optimistic on this board preseason. I genuinely predicted 8-4 (still might). We are better than I thought. We are one left tackle away from being able to score on basically every drive, which explains why we went so hard after that guy in the portal. My only concerns at this point is @LSU @UT and @OM. However, if we can go 1-2 in those 3, CFP bound. Even I would not have fathomed that preseason.
I’m a bulldog through and through. Maybe that’s why I can’t see it. 6 to 7 wins feels real. 10 would be literally amazing and Lebby would be national coach of the year with K1 winning the Heisman..
Playing at Bloomington or The Horseshoe would be a cool road trip.
I can't see it either. I'm just waiting on that game where some random player/s absolutely carve up our defense and figure something that they can't stop. I have a 7-win feeling about this team and a mid-tier bowl. Cautiously optimistic, but absolutely worried like hell for that meltdown.

Imagine living like this. Are you right? Possibly. But if you can’t enjoy this early season success you’re just dead inside and should only cheer for bandwagon teams.

Defense is a concern. Especially with DL injuries. We’ve given up some long ground based drives to a could have lightweights.

Bama is a very different thing than Minnesota, South Carolina & Missouri. Even today’s non Saban Bama.

With our schedule 9-3 might get you there. What's crazy the way the committee thinks the Minnesota could be the deciding factor in us getting into the playoff at 9-3. They take going into Big 10 country and winning seriously.
So I don’t think that’s an actual projection for the rest of the season. I think that’s a “who would be in the Playoff as of today if you used performance to date”.
They have struggled in games against UK and FSU. We are as talented as both those teams and we get them at home. But let’s first beat Mizz then we can breakdown Alabama
REALISTICALLY, it's pretty REAL that we are REALLY good.
A whole lot goes into winning a football game, particularly when it comes to college kids. Number one is Ole Mo!
The team has a considerable amount of momentum now. And one interesting fact: it was clearly taken away from them in the 1st quarter of the USC game and I'll bedamned if they didn't take it right back and beat the GameCocks - who are a good team.
It will take quite a bit of momentum and some good breaks to make the playoffs. The team looks very thin in some positions.
But plenty of folks who follow this stuff see if for what it is: the reality is we are very competitive.
