None of the above. I don't think either team wins by more than 10, but will be more than a FG, especially a last-second FG...
A hawk win, no matter how, will be great. I am hoping the Hawk offense can move the ball much better and consistently than in recent games against Mich. I think they can because the passing game looks better, the running game is better than during Brian's last few years. We need a good field position game to make Mich's offense drive a long field. A very disciplined defensive day for Iowa will also go a long way towards a win
Only Mich game I've watched was against OU. The Mich D looked very very stout and the offense looked like it could give us problems based off what Ive seen from the Iowa D so far, but these games rarely go the way I think they will.
For those that didn’t watch Wittinghams Utah teams, him and Kirk are copies of each other.
This will be a rock fight where both teams are perfectly content playing defense and trying to win the field position battle. I default to picking the home team to win in these games usually, so I think Michigan wins by 3.
Michigan has had fumble-itis though, if the Hawks can get a big turnover in the 2nd half I like their chances.

I think the Hank to Tony Diaz connection really shows up on Saturday.

Really hope we see more DJ targets, Rocky Beers went off against Michigan in week 2
this iowa team is too inexperienced to win at michigan. not a question of whether it's theoretically possible as much as whether a team with the least number of starts in the b1g (and almost nationally) can have the poise to overcome a combination of talent, hostile crowd, and zebra freebies.
Obviously this isn’t the same team it was under Harbaugh. Hawks could have won in 2019, I think they get it done this time.

Just as a point of reference, Oklahoma's offense produced pretty much identical results vs New Mexico as they did vs Michigan. A horrid UTEP team put up 140 yards of offense and scored 14 points in the first half of their game. Western Michigan put up 221 yards of offense and scored 12 points. That's the same Western Michigan that put up 200 yards of offense and 14 points heading into the 4th quarter against Rice. I think Michigan has a good defense, but they have played 3 really, really bad offenses to date, and haven't totally shut them down. If the Iowa offense plays like it's capable, I think they can move the ball and score.

Michigan has a solid edge rush with Nichols and Daley. I do think their secondary will be the best that we've seen so far. I do agree that I think Iowa is capable of moving the ball, but that is going to be game plan specific, if they go man coverage to load the box, Hank will need to step up and hit his targets (Diaz will find space). However, if Iowa try to cram the ball down their throat, I'm not sure it is going to work.
He'll likely be matched will Hill. Hill can cover him like a blanket but makes mistakes (when asked to do more than just cover). It will be up to your QB to take advantage of those mistakes but if Cruz thinks he can own him...lol
First, it’s Diaz not Cruz. Second he never said he’d own him. Just appeared giddy over the prospect of man coverage.
Yeah, Michigan's D and CBs aren't a candy store, Northern Iowa or even Incarnate Word (who he picked up 25% of his 2025 catches against). Good luck to you Tony...have you checked in on the status of Trell Harris of Oklahoma lately? Don't think he's played since Michigan.

I don't think cramming the ball down their throat is a recipe for success either. This oline probably isn't going to impose its will on a good defense. They have been very effective in pass protection and the backs have performed well when they can get a crease or an edge. Iowa was effective passing the ball on first down against ISU. They'll need to mix a lot of that in against UM.

Don't think our DBs give a f what he says...they will either show or not...and Diaz will either show up or not
With that said...he hasn't seen these level of corners
We'll see if he thinks it's candy after the game
