reading Selmon's answers for on field logo and jersey patch.....they were very corporate speak non-answer answers, which is fair in this case IMO........
.....I think the bigger part is that we have not had a team that had a marketable value for this new enterprise; and getting a jersey patch sponsor and on field logo sponsor and a a good dollar figure value, hinges greatly on the the performance of this team this year.

Kamario by himself likely gets us a sponsor for next year if he stays.
Probably best that we haven't already signed a multi year deal, whether by design or not, to this season. After this year, we are a much more lucrative client.

A&M doesn’t have field logos for the same reason Bama doesn’t have jersey patches. We on the other hand are begging for both and can not get someone to commit to it. Theres been a ton pressure put on learfield to var something done but to be fair its not their fault the product hasn’t been worth a **** until now.
How much value would Mossy Oak think there is in a on field patch of camo ?
How about a Visit Mississippi logo with a QR code painted on the field - if that would even show up ?

If I'm a potential sponsor of those weirdos, I would be terrified the Milkmen doing their whimsical choreographed rah rah yells might suddenly appear on screen and ruin the whole deal
Need to hit up the corporations that have plants in the area. Yokohama, PACCAR, Airbus, IP all have a presence in the Golden Triangle. Hell get them all to sponsor and call it something like YAPI
Only reason Bama didn’t have a jersey patch is they haven’t found the right deal yet. They made a slight modification to their jerseys this year to make space for one. Same with A&M football. When they can find a desk they like, they’ll take it.
Get a 1 year deal done and make some $. Each game that passes is inventory you can’t get back.
Perhaps he surprises me but this feels like a really poor job by Selmon thus far on this. You’ve got the best player in the country wearing your jersey on your field and we’re currently getting $0 money from both spaces.
Sign something, make money, and figure out the longs term deal after the season
it made sense to wait until this week to do something so the team could improve & we could get a better deal.
