Im gonna add this one but it needs context. 81 year old Sen. John Stennis came to our 1982 Homecoming pep rally, campaigning for one more term. He insisted on teaching us this cheer from his cheerleading days:

Ramma ... Jamma
Ala ... Bama
BAH!

We were playing Auburn, which made it more ridiculous
I was there. Cool moment. I remember laughing at old John speaking while waving the mike around with a cheerleader trying unsuccessfully to chase it down so we could hear him better, but I recall the cheer, delivered in his unique, unmistakable slow drawl, going like this: "Ramma Jamma. Yellowhammer. University of Alabama....BAH!!!!"

And with that, my contribution is: Ramma Jamma. Yellowhammer, Beat the HELL out of Alabama.

You're probably right. I was a Freshman, from Alabama, and just stunned by the whole spectacle.

I remember one game I was at with my dad. He had 50yrd line tickets about 15 rows up lower section. The row behind was often were congressmen and dignitaries sat.

One game Stennis was sitting behind us. He had attendant helping him as he was pretty old feeble. Middle of the 4th quarter Stennis told his attendant that he was ready to go. Attendant helped Stennis to stand up but Stennis kept to bending over as to pick something up that he had forgotten. Made somewhat of a commotion. I turned around to see the attendant bend over a pick up what Stennis was attempting to get. A half empty 1/2pint of Old Charter. Attendant stuck the bottle under a jacket that attendant was carrying for Stennis.

He lost a leg to cancer in 1984 so if it was after then he only had one leg. Never used a prosthesis as I recall
