Hulu is raising their prices again and I’m done. Live plus Disney/espn bundle with ads is now $105.

Who are you using, and what are you paying? I’m looking for local, standard, and espn/sec/sec+ channels. My main concern is being able to watch State regardless of the channel.

Leaning towards YTTV, but not sure they have all the sports channels.

Any other good options?

YYTV has it all. I have not missed a game. 85-90/month

Cancelled Disney and all last year.....Getting tired of the increases, and frankly, catching a monthly subscription fee and all the adds, and asking for more w/ no adds......I'm just really getting done with this stuff.

I've reached a point where if your adds are obnoxious, or constantly popping up on your own website or whatever ever annoying marketing ploy you have developed, pretty much a guarantee, I will stop buying your product

Not sure what you mean by "all the sports channels", and you probably won't like my suggestions anyway if your accustomed to unlimited everything but I'm going to tell you anyway.

I've watched both road football games on regular old free YouTube, NOT the paid for YouTube TV Live. The SC game feed got shut off once so I went back to the main menu and selected another feed for the game and watched the rest of it from another of 4 feeds that I saw. I tailgated but my neighbor said both home games were on there free. I watch all road games for baseball on there too. I don't do basketball so have no clue if those are on there or not. ESPN Unlimited is probably easiest @ $29.99 or there's ESPN+FOX ONE for $39.99 I just found out Monday that I can piggy back off my kids Disney+/ESPN/Hulu bundle so I tried their log in and it worked but not sure how long before Disney shuts me out for that. HULU LIve is supposedly going away anyway and going to be absorbed into the Disney family if it already hasn't , it won't be available as having HULU only by itself anymore but that Disney bundle they have is only $39.99/mo

Have you tried to see what can you get w/ an antenna where you live? I get all of the regular feeds in Starkville (NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, that carry games but have also noticed that THE CW has a lot of games now too on there.

I'm not willing to make the change mid-season just because I have all my stuff setup but will probably switch to YTTV after football.
One of the other reasons is that I ran MLBTV through ESPN and I'm using it to catch playoff games. MLBTV made ESPN the exclusive option this year

I try to make a point of not buying products, when feasible, if I'm getting subjected to their ads. Nothing turns me further off from wanting to buy your product than interrupting what I'm watching/listening.

I have:

- Peacock for NBC sports;
- Paramount with ads to watch CBS sports;
- Disney/ESPN package for ABC/ESPN;

I don't get FOX but I don't watch enough of it anyway. All told it's $61. I'd assume get YTTV, Fubo or Dish for $90 or so but other folks have a say too.

YTTV here, and ESPN stuff has opened up to us., I'm on the regular plan.
All of this stuff will continue to creep up.
YTTV, does have a sports package with some other stuff, if that interest you.

I spend between $6 ~ $18 per month from Sept-Nov, $20-$30 per month from March-June. $0 per month in July and August. And unless MSU makes the CFP, $0 in December and January.

Sling day pass / weekend pass for the win.

Yep. AMEX has a $25 "digital entertainment" credit that gives you $25 toward:

Eligible Partners

    • Disney Bundle
    • ESPN
    • Hulu
    • Paramount+
    • Peacock
    • The New York Times
    • The Wall Street Journal
    • YouTube Premium
    • YouTube TV
Typically my YTTV bills on the 3rd of every month and the 4th I get the $25 credit.

This is what I've been doing. The ads on youtube are annoying but so are all the ones you get on "regular" tv. To hell with giving the bastaards more money.

YTTV is 85 and if you have AMEX, they credit you 25 every month.
That is good to know. That makes it the clear winner I think. I have been doing a 5 month subscription to Sling, which is fine but you also don't get CBS or ABC games, and the user interface is not as good as YTTV.

ETA: That appears to only apply to the platinum card. Definitely helps justify the annual fee, but not enough to make that card make sense for me when I already have a similar $25 credit for dining on a different card.

YouTube Premium Light is $7.99/mo I believe, removes ALL ads except from music videos so you can watch ad free. For the YT Premium I think its $14.99 to remove them from the music videos and concerts.

It is the only ad free service I use but it is WELL worth it the way YT plays the same annoying ads over and over and over. Almost as bad as those video game ads they show on Pluto and Tubi over and over

This is with the Platinum, right?

I have the Blue Preferred, on streaming I think I get a 6% rebate for any streaming (incl XM) and then 10/month credit for disney/hulu. Still very good even if it's not $25/month (and I'm pretty sure the Blue preferred is $95/yr vs a lot more for the platinum?)

Agree that's not bad and the ads are atrocious.

Got this email last week. I'm done with HULU. Moving to YTTV. Hulu is also horrible at being able to stream from different devices not in your home...like my office. Cant log into hulu cause its not my home.

On YTTV, (on Ipad), if I go outside my home viewing market, I no longer get my home local channels.

Yes. I pay $895 for the Platinum and have evaluated it to death. I get about $4000 a year in value.

Have considered that one, mainly just haven’t wanted to go through trouble to switch bills to new card. Also I don’t fly often enough to take advantage of the lounge access. Still with a cheaper Hilton AMEX currently.

Reading this (and most of these threads) the exorbitant amount I pay Comcast/XFininty each month seems much more reasonable.

I put up that $40 antenna 12 years ago myself for the locals which gives me all of those network games for free, including this Saturdays game on ABC and the Minnesota one too was on CBS. Regular YouTube that I get our other games with is free w/ my home internet. If any others aren't on regular YouTube I've now got the kids Disney/ESPN/HULU feed for free. Amazon Video, free. Paramount+, free w/ WALMART+. You can go to Reddit on any given day and find many streams of games

I don't do "exorbitant" when it comes to tv................it just "doesn't mean more" like SEC SEC does.

When State does poorly, usually I could care less about watching any football. This year, I am getting to the point where I want to watch every game. I will probably get a free trial or do the $4.99 one day Sling for Saturday.
