Those of you that like to proffer a wager

Since it’s Tuesday and there aren’t any games tonight, I thought it might be fun to ask those of you on all these sports betting sites, “do you win?”

I’ve tried it a few times and the dopamine boost I get from winning is drowned out by how ridiculous I feel losing my money because some hormonal late teen missed a chip shot FG.

I didn't do it this year because I was just too busy but the last few years I loaded up with $100 of my money and usually a couple hindred free bet bonuses at the beginning of football season. I did like $5 bets and a few $2 parlays each week (mostly college but occasionally nfl). I'd bet on 10-15 games a week (including the parlays).

I'd inevitably drink a few too many some Saturdays and I don't think I ever made it past week 8 but honestly it was an adrenaline rush watching Hawaii play San Jose St at midnight. Made the games more interesting than watching us suck.

I'm not advocating betting but if you have self control like my example it's a lot of fun.

If you're not a poor like me your mileage may vary and you might need to add a zero. For me the competitive desire to be right was enough, it wasn't about the money. I know in the end the house always wins. I'm no rain man and neither are you because rain man was a fake movie.

Of course the gamblers win. The gambling sites are losing money like crazy. The sites pay for all those commercials with their loyalty perks, so they’re basically coming out ahead.

My sarcasm meter is impaired. It took me way too long to figure out what you were trying to say here.
