Whats your Prediction of the Gamecocks vs Kentucky game.

Haven't watched a single play or even highlight of UK, so it would be a total guess.
Would you accept that we could go anywhere from losing by 50 to winning by 50? And that i know that from playing Madden?
Seriously, no clue how good or bad UK is. I vote we score late to only lose by 4. Based only on our luck and what it will do to the season.
UK looks to be a better team than SC so far, even though the scores against the common opponent were similar, they at least put up a fight. Their win in College Station is better than either of the Gamecock's rn. So South Carolina will win. As I stated in another post elsewhere sometimes things happen with no clear reason in sports. Something that seems to happen every year is the unexpected game or two that is won, that seems you shouldn't and it works the other way too with losing. So this is one SC will win 31-28.

Kensucky is good, they beat A&M, but this is still UK, I say SC squeaks it out, 33-27 with a Punt return for a TD by Swain that turns game around near end of first half. Cutting UK’s lead to 3 at the half!!
I say we take an early lead and then this helluva thunderstorm comes thru and we don't know until late Saturday night the final score.

I predict a lot of crying laced with mild to severe profanity followed by hangovers and chased by the hair of the dog on Sunday morning. Go Gamecocks!
The way Sellers and our secondary have been playing, I am leaning towards Kentucky winning 31-21. I will be at the game, so I hope I am very wrong. I hope we lean on our running game and limit the opportunities for Sellers to screw up, if Sellers continue to struggle, it's time for Woods to play meaningful minutes in this game, where he has the opportunity to change the outcome of the game.
If you look at how Kentucky has been playing and how we have been playing it's no contest Kentucky wins.
If you look at thier strength and ours it becomes closer. Also I believe we have the talent advantage in this game and we play at home.

My gut says there's a ton on the line with this game - and the players know it.
We'll play "tight" and make a lot of mistakes from being scared to win. We lose. I'd love for us to win but I see no reason for the guys to play loose and have fun out there. Kentucky will have to make a lot of mistakes and our secondary will have to play much, much better. I don't see either one of those things happening. I'm sorry.

The only common opponent we have is Bama, and the final margins of those games were comparable (28 vs 31), though UK hung with them for at least the first half.
I don't think we'll get blown out. I'd imagine it would be a decently close game either way.
The psyche of this team seems fragile, and it feels like the team is teetering on the edge of falling apart. If we make some kind of early mistake like turning the ball over or have the opening drive stall due to miscues or if UK jumps to an early lead, I can see the team crumbling and us getting blown out.

from days of thunder Quaid talking about how his pit crew and driver looked "like a monkey fukn a football" that pretty much where we r, incompetence at coaching level, really bad talent evaluation ie secondary, and horrible execution on both sides of ball on the basics. same old same old

For me, I think it largely depends on how the game starts for us. If anything bad happens, I think the wheels will fall of pretty quick. We don't have any confidence right now.
If that happens, we really may not win another game this season, maybe Arkansas. If the wheels come off against UK, that will signal the team has pretty well given up.
Right. We can explain away the MSU loss as they seemed to catch lightning in a bottle with that QB. And losing at Alabama is expected. But If we lose to UK...well, you can't explain that one away.

Why are you guys predicting a win?? Beamer lost the team—it’s over! A few guys will still play w pride, but this is the NIL era baby; no one cares when the wheels fall off.
I was just thinking the same thing. Not sure why so many are thinking we'll win. If we lose, I hope we lose huge in order to force a change.
But, it's us, so, I predict we'll find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the last minute or so. Gamecocks are the best team in the history of the world at ripping your heart out at the last second.
If Briles has coached Sellers out of his funk, 35 -30 Gamecocks.
