Not surprising. The lineup he’s putting out isn’t the best possible lineup. Our serving is way too easy and we serve to dumb locations. On the other side of the net there is a better coach and willing to make changes when needed.
Bad volleyball right now.Not surprising. The lineup he’s putting out isn’t the best possible lineup. Our serving is way too easy and we serve to dumb locations. On the other side of the net there is a better coach and willing to make changes when needed.
Nope, immediately down 8-3Oh my goodness had a free ball to get our 7th point in a row and cut the set to 24-23 and we had 2 women run into each other. That hurts. Maybe we've successfully offbalanced GT a bit?
As someone just stated Addison West has to play more. No butts about it. Mike is going to have to get off his high horse of being loyal and play this young lady if he wants to win games. He is kind of being like Dabo at Clemson in football, set in his ways. As I started before this young women is a Gatorade Player of the year. Play her. It is kind of funny that Mike did not have any problems playing Mabrey Shaffmaster as a freshman. Was Mabrey a Gatorade Player out of Indiana? Addison IMO is on the same level as Mabrey when she was a freshman. Mike will have to just let her play. Someone needs to mentioned this fact to him. That was a great come back today. I am glad that he replace Pierce was Addison. Go Heels! What a gutsy performance. Coach Schall’s ability to retain talent is paying off.
Hopefully this momentum can sustain them as we continue to move on with the season. One of the craziest comebacks in UNC volleyball history. Hats off to them for playing through it and not making even a single mistake with their backs against the wall in the 3rd. To go from being within 1 point of being swept in 3 sets to winning in 5 is insane.
Wake really is not a bad team. When you look at their roster, they are loaded with height and athleticism. They have a poor record becuase they had so many preseason injuries. The Wake we got was a Wake that was reintegrating some of those people who had been out. I think Malone going down also had everyone mentally distracted.I worry that you could take the glass half empty stance and say we escaped a bad loss at Wake by the skin of our teeth. And it took somewhat of a miracle to pick up a quality win we needed to get (good but not too good opponent at home). But from some of the comments of more knowledgable folks it feels like there has been some good player development recently.
looked to be significant. Ankle or knee could not tell, but she could not put weight on it and was pretty distraught when she returned from the locker room after some extended physioHow bad did Hailey’s injury look?
Knee. It was wrapped and iced on the bench. She was on crutches.looked to be significant. Ankle or knee could not tell, but she could not put weight on it and was pretty distraught when she returned from the locker room after some extended physio
Seemed like we hit the hallmarks of a serious knee problemHow bad did Hailey’s injury look?
This years schedule is actually more balanced thatn last year....last year we had Louisville, SMU, Pitt, Stanford all in a row if I recall. this year, the office put BC/SYR in the middle of that and moved SMU/Pitt to later. We kind of got unlucky with the schedule (though maybe good for rpi)
We play SMU, Pitt, Louisville 4 times and 3 are on the road. Getting into top 16 and host will come down to
1. Sweeping Cal/stanford at home
2. Sweeping FSU/Miami at home
3. Taking care of the easies, BC, Cuse, ND, dook x2.
4. Winning 1 of those 4 games above and at miami
