I am glad we won. I still wish we could get rid of Beamer, he is an inept coach who gets lucky just enough to placate garnet koolaid drinkers. If he was a great coach we would not lose games like KY and MSU, but somehow we find ways to lose games like these.
That’s a problem that long predates Beamer.
It appears that KY has landed a really good coach, and this will be a problem for us in the long term. Just like Mizzou probably has what is, pound for pound, the best coach in the SEC. We hired the wrong coach and gave him a huge contract, we will continue to suffer from Ray Tanner’s mistakes for years to come.
Sellers play was the difference.
The focus and passing accuracy was much more like the expected from the beginning of the season although there were a few lapses. If this Sellers is the one we have going forward, we have a chance.

Who still manages to inexplicably drop a game on the road at MSU.
And that will be the new norm. All those years of playing Madden and diving into depth chart analysis to try and gauge our upcoming seasons are going to be replaced by shrugs and "I dunno, I guess we'll see".
When has that not been the case lol. I remember crossing swords with King Ward on the old PSR board 25-26 years ago on that very subject after a win over Georgia.

as the season progresses, the quality of the win yesterday over Florida will be revealed. However, after Mizzou took them to the woodshed last week and then we soundly defeated them, one could objectively make the argument Florida was overrated, I myself fell into that one. I really thought Florida would play much better against us after their loss to Mizzou. To his credit, the new coach at Florida has been saying they are a work in progress, he stated it in his post game comments after beating Ole Miss.
It is what it is. 3-3. It’s done so I’m putting the bat down and hoping for some good football to watch the rest of the way.
