The tropics have quieted down considerably. There's one little low pressure bringing rain to the Cape Verde islands that has a 20% chance of development, but poses no threat to the U.S. either way. MS was spared most of the impact from Isaias as the track shifted further east than anticipated. My niece is a radiologist tech at a hospital in Tuscaloosa and was having to drive to work before light Saturday morning right in the teeth of the storm. Made me want to show my appreciation to those who have to show up at work regardless of the weather.
For MS this week it will remain dry and a return to low to mid 90's as summer refuses to admit it's mid October. However, they finally changes Friday evening as a strong front pushes through. Highs Saturday drop to the low 70's north to low 80's south with lows getting down into the mid 40's to low 50's.
i also wanted to take a moment and thank all of you collectively who donated to our team the last few days. We got enough to put up another camera and we are extremely grateful. I won't give its exact location yet other than to say it's over in the Delta where radar coverage isn't the best so it will have real benefit. We will have additional locations approved for cameras waiting on funding so if anybody else would like to donate or their business would like to sponsor a camera or our automatic alert system please let me know.
