At the Fall Exibition in Jackson, TN. We lead 2-1 in the top of the third.

Josh Overbeek (Army) hit a towering shot to right. Starter Landon Stump (UCLA) gave up one to a triple and a sacrifice. Nic Robert (Miami) is pitching now; no runs in the third.

Jackson, TN has Chamber of Commerce weather, today.

End of four. 3-1, Robert 2 scoreless. Duke Stone now pitching.

Christman hit one over the left foul pole. The Jackson stadium has a big outfield fence. Parker and Will Craddock’s hits would have been homers at The Dude.

We won the first exhibition match 5-2 over Western KY. I saw a good MSU team in the making. Overbeek reminded me of Bulldogs Bruce in his prime (if there ever was a prime for Bruce🤣) and Christman is a 6’ 220 lb. Beast of a hitter. Landon Stump looks like the potential good addition. This is a group of large men, something we’ve been lacking.

I had to leave to get back home. I could only stay for the one game. My 98 year old mom fell and broke her hip, Friday. Prayers are welcome.

If a SixPacker stayed for game two, please post.

Fact:

MSU lost game 2 7-8. There was a valiant effort at the end to take the game but it fell short. Bauer has an awful inning loading bases with no outs which ultimately led to WKU taking the lead.

I was there as well. Game 2 we were letting guys get playing experience, so I'm not concerned with the score. Overall, I think we looked good. WKU is a good team. They only lost 12 games last year. My only negative is that Bauer couldn't seem to find the plate. The WKU players wouldn't swing at all until 2 strikes. They just kept moving around showing bunt and pulling it back. They were trying, and succeeding, in throwing him off and getting walks. I guess everyone has a bad day.
