If they can stay healthy it will be likely. Can those of us who aren't mad at the NBA but don't really follow it get a little 8bit preview? Lebron gonna get another Eastern Conference Championship?
Raptors- Cavs and Thunder-Spurs. Although for the "NBA is fixed" crowd, no way the NBA let's the Raptors and Kawhi have any level of success.East is very deep. West is top heavy. But the worst 3 teams get fewer ping pong balls in the lottery so there will likely be less tanking.
Toronto is a potential sleeper. Their D is going to be fierce.
I’m bearish on Miami. Giannis & Bam are tough but who will make jumpers?
Lakers are fascinating. Built around Luka and their 3 best players are white, which will be a field day for the memers. Already called the Snow-time Lakers. Luka is my pick to win MVP.
Cooper Flagg, who is still just 19 I believe, finally gets to play with Kyrie. Mavs might be a fun team.
Spurs-Thunder and 76ers-Raptors is my CF pick.
If you watch them regularly, it's going to be very encouraging. Boozer is for real. Highest floor of any rookie in my opinion. Getting back towards that Grit & Grind mentality of the Z-bo, Gasol, TA years. If Edey stays healthy, they could be one of those teams that plays way above expectation. As a Grizzly fan is there any reason to care?
Since we're already 10 posts deep and nobody has made this comment yet...I'll go ahead and do it and get it out of the way.
I hate and nba and never watch and it can fall off in the ocean for all I care, but I'm still going to come on the nba thread and make a comment on just how much I hate it and don't care.

I am already convincing myself that Paul George is going to return to his old form and not get injured this year. I am such an idiotJust flipped through the channels and there is a game on.
Paul George is already on a heater.
I will call your Paul George and raise you a Zach Edey foot injury.Paul George might win MVP

Best Opening Day in professional sports minus The Premier League.

I’ve watched the NBA since I was a kid in the 80s and never really checked up. When the Grizzlies came to Memphis it raised it even more. What got you invested in the NBA and kept you there? I used to watch a lot but that has really tapered off to nothing. Genuinely curious.
Hope you're right, but I'm highly skeptical that this is anything more than a 30-35 win team, and even that is assuming that the Grizz stay reasonably healthy. Iisalo has yet to prove that he can coach in this league, Edey is highly unlikely to make it through a season without injury, and as high as I am on Boozer and Coward, this looks like a typical Kleiman roster. A ton of decent to above average NBA role players, but not many guys that a playoff caliber NBA team would covet. He does have around a billion 2nd round picks to burn over the next ten years, though, so at least there is that.If you watch them regularly, it's going to be very encouraging. Boozer is for real. Bingo!!! Edey’s health is key but who plays point night in and night out …I’m also not on the Iisalo band wagon. Too much subbing in and out. No one gets in a rhythm. But I’ll attend many games and watch em all. Meh . . . ... just as soon watch paint dry . . . . . .
Ty Jerome will start at point. The guy can light it up. Pippen is a good and very capable point coming off the bench.Bingo!!! Makes sense. I’m not close enough to a tw to have that influence. I watched a lot through the 80’s but life got busy in the 90’s and I just stopped keeping up other than occasional things in my news feed.I’ve watched the NBA since I was a kid in the 80s and never really checked up.
