Football Final Four or Basketball Final Four?

Would you rather see Kentucky make the Final Four in football or basketball?

I do worry we have fallen for good, yes. I'm not being dogmatic about it, but the fanbase has become more apathetic about basketball than I've ever seen in my lifetime. Yes, I think it's reasonable to think we have actually fallen in grandeur. I do understand fan sentiment that the last several years have been lower than expectations, but more fans than ever have lost the passion. I like your opinions and we don't have to agree on everything. You're free to think I'm off my rocker or being hyperbolic. I feel that I'm confronting the realities of our current predicament with honesty and transparency.
Too much one step forward, two steps backwards for bball. I do not think it has fallen for good, but it sure has been in a deep hibernation.

Most people would say football because of the history and all that. But I can't comprehend what it would be like to be in the football final four. Like it doesn't compute. I can't imagine the feeling. It's like saying what would happen if you found a $1B winning lottery ticket while having a threesome with Sydney Sweeney and Margot Robbie on the 18th hole of Augusta National 2 minutes after shooting a 68.

So I picked basketball.

I don't think you're off your rocker at all. Its a worrisome time for UK basketball fans. That said, the other poster is right. The pessimism in basketball didn't happen over night for UK fans. We have been forced to watch a, for the most part, really poor product on the court for almost ten years. By Kentucky standards, at least. Cal was in a freefall decline and Pope, as much as we love the guy for his playing years, is not a good coach. And will never be enough for UK basketball.

Get a guy like Oats in here, and I'd bet the results of this poll are a WHOLE lot different. Context is important for a lot of people answering this question.

You think Kentucky fans are insane about basketball?

Make Kentucky consistent winners in football and you'll see real insanity.
Mark pope has destroyed Kentucky basketball! He’s made Kentucky basketball mediocre with mediocre players.

Football.

We have been to 9 FFs and won 3 titles in my lifetime. I would love to experience something similar with football just once.

I am a UK fan, not just a UK basketball fan.

There’s no doubt most of BBN would give up a final four for a semifinal showing in football. There’s just no doubt not to mention I mean a good chunk of Basketball fans are past where they were with tubby and Bcg. Pope should’ve been dealt with last year.

Football.........just because even in this day with Pope and expectations at an all time low, the football is just more unlikely.

Despite how Stein got this thing rolling......I'm more likely to see another bball final four in my lifetime than football. So I'd like to see the football.

The thing I don't always agree with tho is when people say things like oh this win will change the program forever or making a final four in football would change things. I don't think so. I think the only way you sustain success in both bball and football is proper coaching and GREAT recruiting.

This makes sense. Id like to see Stein get top NIL n football like pope does n bball.

Football, but it should be basketball. If basketball had been able to sustain a run of SEC championships, Elite 8s, Final 4s, and national championship games, people would still be absolutely basketball crazy. For the most part the biggest crazy in basketball over the past decade has been, "get rid of the fuggin coach." I'm not saying crazy as in wrong, but crazy as in very passionate about the subject.

I’m trying to imagine those all of those things but can’t get past the threesome part.

I'm the opposite. I only watch football (pro or college) when Kentucky plays. I don't watch pro basketball either. I never miss a Kentucky Basketball game and also enjoy watching college basketball as a whole.

Yep... Pro basketball is soooooo bad except in a good playoff series.

I used to love college basketball, but one and done screwed it up in terms of seeing teams that have played together perform beautiful basketball. Now it's AAU garbage.

College football and pro football... just give me a good game and I'll be happy.
