What kind of program goes into SEC play with no backup QB’s?

i just want someone to tell me why we are even playing a walk on with 2 other qbs with experience on the roster. it’s a simple godamn question. no one has answered
In the LSU post game press conference Leavie basically said that Parker beat out the other two quarterbacks. He didn't say it exactly like that but that was the only way you could interpret what he said.

Maybe there’s an agreement where we keep the other 2 QB’s healthy and they’ll give us a partial NIL refund when they’re able to transfer.

There was one interview, not sure if LSU postgame or that Monday, where he said something along the lines that what we saw in the game was not indicative of what he did in practice.

My counter would be
1. Practice is practice and the game is the game. I hope that is not the same as we saw today.
2. Practice is vs our defense not LSU, OU, or Bama's.

On a side note.
If the QB can not make a pass to tthe flat with less than 30 min hang time, maybe that play shouldn't be called for him. Or him in to make that pass.

What does that say about his talent evaluation, that the guys he recruits and pays are beat out by a walk-on?

All roads lead back to Lebby’s competency. He either can’t properly evaluate QB talent or he can’t properly game plan TDs with the guy he chose to take snaps. And that’s not even getting into other deficiencies that have lingered for three years. The problems are deeper than losing a QB.

Agree. Sloppy football is all phases of the game.. no azz chewing but tons of penalties, blown coverages, guys running the wrong routes (three players in the same spot), shanked punts, coaching mistakes

The clear cut coaching mistakes are the ones that turned me off of Lebby. The TX game last year did me in with this coach. He can call some nice plays but the bad clearly outweighs the good. This program has plenty enough money and support to win more games than he has.

Very little. Which is a problem in itself.
It is THE problem. We ain’t a poverty program, but we have to spend our money to try to compete for starters, given the neighborhood we live in. Depth also costs money, BIG money these days. I’ve posted this before, but we are an Audi program. Audis are fine cars, very much a luxury brand. The thing is, we are in a league that has a bunch of Bentley, Ferrari, and McLaren drivers. This is the new reality. The days of finding diamonds in the rough and developing them over 3-4 years are DONE.
