I wonder if Sellers' TD will get ESPN play of the year consideration

Just rewatching this TD. If this season ends well, it will go alongside "The Hit" in Gamecock lore.

But, boy, he was perilously close to being down. If his arm was about 1" lower, his forearm would have been down. And he was holding that ball out there pretty dangerously, lol.

The football gods were on our side for once!

It wasn't like 4th down. We would have had a shot from the one.

I put it up there with the Rocket Sanders TD vs Mizzou. Just wasn’t going to be denied.

Looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Clowney would likely be called for targeting today.

When you get a chance in football to make a play, you take it. If it doesn't work, its something else for the fans to squabble about.

We all know that Gamecock football history is littered with "almost" plays where we came up short. The bounce has rarely gone in our favor.

It's nice to see, for once, that we come out on the right side.

Of course, the reason we came out on the right side is that Sellers strong as an ox. There's nothing wrong with seeing how close the play came to going in UT's favor. It makes the outcome that much more remarkable.

I get it. I took your post to be a criticism of sellers not ‘protecting the ball’ or some such. My bad; there’s so much of that nitpicky stuff on social media.

A football player’s mentality is no guts, no glory. As I said, you get a chance to make a play you take it. Or they will.
