I know money talks and all, but we'll pay him. He's said a hell of a lot of things that would be hard to walk back if he did decide to transfer. Short of an absolute disaster, such as losing to TN Tech and blown out by Ole Miss and mass early transfer chaos, he's back.

I think we all need to get comfortable with the idea that Lenny is also coming back, and we're gonna have to make do with what we have. Hopefully our coaches will realize that you can't just fix everything in the portal. High risk that it all falls apart next year, but also a high reward of a playoff run. If you are so inclined as far as NIL, I think we honestly have to go all in one more time to try and take advantage of what Taylor gives. We don't need to overthink stuff and start 17ing with shlt, as we always do. Got to be smart.

Going to be hard to see this long term goal though, as these losses pile up the rest of this season. But hey, maybe support the team in this time of crisis? What say you, @Bulldawg77? Never thought I'd be the positive pollyanna.

I don’t believe there is a portal only approach. I think we went that way with backup QB because you had such a young starter. Just look at RB. We signed the two top MS HS RBs this year.

Nothing I want more than Lebby to be successful. We need the stability but like others have said, what happens in 2028 AK (after Kamario)

Start over. I'm happy to take a risk on the future if it means a chance at big success now. Not like we aren't used to losing seasons now.

We have pieces that are hard to replace. I don't want to waste them.

I am less worried about this than most people.

Kamario is really important right now because we have talent gaps on the OL, and we have no backup. But Blake Schapens could have made this offense go with a decent OL. Certainly Shapen couldn't touch KT's upside, and it may be a long while before we have a QB that can, but I don't think we will have a problem finding a QB good enough to put points up if we can get the OL to be average with no turnstiles. May not be able to reach that bar every year. But it shouldn't be something we just consistently fail to do either.

It would be easy as hell to walk back just about anything once the money gets up to a certain point.

Secondly, what do you mean “hopefully our coaches realize you can’t fix everything in the portal?”. That’s of course very true, but what other option is there for 2027? You think we’re going to find 10 OL / DL that are all SEC ready from the high school ranks between now and then?
