Sheesh. The state of college athletics is comical. Seriously, can you think of anything more F'd up?

Today, teenagers can make millions. About 30 years ago, some dude named Dwayne Casey almost got his school the death penalty for sending a kid's family $1,000 to help pay some bills. And then there was that time the NCAA deemed that giving a recruit a bagel was permissible, but slapping some cream cheese on it was a big no-no.

And now? It's the freakin' Wild West out there. And not one single sheriff to be found.

I watched a special on this. It is comical how little evidence they had. 2 guys word from Emory? Said an envelope popped open, they resealed it and delivered it. Then these 2 UCLA fans went to the press. Dwayne Casey sued Emory and put them out of business because there was zero evidence in a court of law.
Yet, we were found guilty.
Enter Greg Sankey and UNCheat. 20 years of fraud and they walk free. Those of you who call me a conspiracy theorist because I believe there is a Kentucky bias are just uneducated.
Before arriving at SEC. Sankey was a high Duke, UNC, ACC advocate and fan. Since arriving there isn’t a single recorded positive metric you can find that isn’t lower for Kentucky basketball. His first year we recorded a whopping 300 foul swing. That’s incredible. 200 minus for us but 100 more called on us. The numbers are easy to look up. That Blue Blood advantage that Kansas , Duke and others get, has never come back and won’t under Sankey. He single handily stopped Mitchell from coming here.
Between Sankey and Barnhart. Kentucky basketball hasn’t stood a chance for over 10 years.

I agree. It turns my stomach the way the portal and agents have completely changed the landscape. I almost have to sign off from April to October and just focus on the basketball part when the season starts.

I saw that as well. Thought it was really good and learned some stuff. It really is wild how little actual real evidence there was.

Going to be interesting to see who Alston picks. Saw multiple rumors Reece's Dad is threatening to file a lawsuit against Will Wade and LSU. Rafer is claiming money changed hands between Puma and Reece's mother Ashley in a "back alley deal" and she accepted money from them by way of Will Wade through Puma to secure Reece's commitment in a "jump the gun" shady deal. Supposedly Rafer has been at odds with Wade for a few weeks telling them to stop contacting him and his family because of his obsessive recruiting style.

Seems like par for the course for LSU if true.
