If Swann plays - I have hope.
I'm fine with him not playing vs LSU but the decision to not play him vs Oklahoma is criminal.Did he ever address why he didn't play the first time K1 was out?
On the ESPN broadcast, Jesse Palmer said Swann had an ankle injury and the staff didn't think he was good enough to go against LSU or Oklahoma. Take that for what's it's worth.Did he ever address why he didn't play the first time K1 was out?
Yet no mention on the injury reports & dressed out for both games. On the ESPN broadcast, Jesse Palmer said Swann had an ankle injury and the staff didn't think he was good enough to go against LSU or Oklahoma. Take that for what's it's worth.
I have never coached football and could prepare for PuckettY'all are just missing the genius of the mouth breather here, he's playing Vandy like a fiddle, now they have to prepare for both QBs! Oh the absolute genius of it is diabolical***
FIFYOh yeah. Lebby will run him out there with a bad shoulder and watch him throw a couple picks and then pull him. Then say " we thought hewas good to gocould make the layups."
One thing for certain. Their defensive backs don’t have to worry about anything beyond 10 yards down field. You would think a seasoned head coach would scheme up an entirely different simple offense for a QB who can only throw the ball 15 yards and that includes the 7 yards he is standing behind the line of scrimmage. So I real HC would make significant adjustments to his style of play, maybe working in a lot of option football and using 2 tight ends to help his tackles block the edges.I have never coached football and could prepare for Puckett
Good thing we have a real head coach not a lifetime coordinator inappropriately given a head coach job by his friend because of familiarity......One thing for certain. K1 was day to day til he wasn’t. The great story teller. One who floats, said Taylor wasn’t out for the year three hours before Lebby announced…. He was out for the yearI don't hold much hope of a QB standing on the sideline with his throwing arm in a sling of playing anytime soon.
It’s the latest fad word for coaches so he makes sure to use it as often as he can. It’s like strain or intentional.I think with Lebby, words like "Layups" and "Day to Day" are just words that we use and have no real meaning. He could swap them with "I don't know" and I would respect him more.
I suspect the FR & Rashada are both nowhere near ready to throw into a sec game even for 1 play. We better hope Puckett can stay healthy, no matter how pathetic that sounds. You would think he could design a package for his true freshman QB who is suppose to have a live arm and quick release. Or I would anyways
It does sound pathetic. There is no reason a 3 star QB that was here for spring camp is not as ready to play as a second year walk on. Especially when you take into account the Swann was injured in the spring and fall.I suspect the FR & Rashada are both nowhere near ready to throw into a sec game even for 1 play. We better hope Puckett can stay healthy, no matter how pathetic that sounds.
Whoever lets this guy take the field again behind this offensive line should be prosecuted for attempted murder.
That still better than 17 out of 21 behind the LOS & only 2 completions past the LOS.Swann completed 2 passes that traveled more than 10 yards downfield in the air. Half of his other completions were at or behind the LOS. Teams are just going to keep 6 in the box and let us feed Fluff without any deep threat. This offense is completely ineffective when you take away the deep ball, and don’t have a running threat at QB. We’ve got to have one of those things as a threat at all times, and we’ve had neither since K1 went down.
He may be a better option than Puckett, but it doesn’t seem like he’s better by much. Still couldn’t score in the 2 quarters he was under center. I’m personally not all that excited about an already injured Swann being available.
Exactly.I don't hold much hope of a QB standing on the sideline with his throwing arm in a sling of playing anytime soon.
Me either, but I coached my son's T-ball team (because nobody else wanted to) when he was 5 or 6. The first year we were 1-11; second year with the same kids, 11-1. Talk about development capability! **I have never coached football and could prepare for Puckett
all I've heard from podcasters is that he was hurt in the spring and hurt in the fall and they've been trying to get him ready to go.I'm fine with him not playing vs LSU but the decision to not play him vs Oklahoma is criminal.
Not that he wasn't banged up at any point, just that he was not able to play until just now.Why do we doubt Swann was injured?
It's not like the coaches can't see the offense is better with him vs. Puckett.
Do we really think our coaches are so dumb that they can't tell Swann is better and held him out? I'm dubious of that.
We’ve never seen Brodie. I criticized Lebby for weeks for playing Puckett I’ve Swann. But we had seen Swann play. He is a very experienced player, even if mediocre. But it’s asking a lot for a lightly recruited true FR to come into the sec. I hope he’s as good as you think he is & he can take the job & help us. But I think we’re just screwed.Neither is very good. At least Billy can run. He might get better if he gets more experience but I would rather play Brodie. But Lebby is gonna Lebby. He will give you a consistent outcome.
Oh I dont know if he is good. Lebby recruited him. His scouting report says quick release, strong arm, yada yada. I would still like to see him out there. He may be our starter next year for all we know. I mean you got an injured Swann, a walk on Billy and you aint even considering the guy you recruited and signed that has been thru spring and fall camp ???We’ve never seen Brodie. Exactly, but why are we not telling the very fans who fund this debacle that he was injured. That's why we doubt things, because they don't tell us anything. Why do we doubt Swann was injured?

It's apparent that Lebby just punted on QB recruiting last cycle. Filled up the room behind Kamario with clipboard holders that wouldn't cost any additional NIL money.Oh I dont know if he is good.
