Class A: Omaha North vs Millard North
- I think this is poised to be a good one.. Great one even? Millard North wins unless Omaha North wins in dramatic fashion type of scenario. Both teams are quality, the "star" power probably leans Millard North's direction a bit.
Millard North: 38 - Omaha North: 30

Class B: Waverly vs Gretna East
- What a tough rematch. The 21-20 decision fell Gretna East's way last time... But this time? I'm not sure. Both teams are great. Both teams know how to win. Only one of them is the defending state champ though.. (No idea if any major injury news with these squads? If not)..... Give me Waverly.
Waverly: 24 - Gretna East: 21

Class C1: Sidney vs Adams Central
- Look, this one is going to be great, maybe, for all the reasons people don't love. DEFENSE. Will 3 to 10 points win this game? Probably Sidney is the real deal, I think, AC making a case.
Sidney: 20 - Adams Central: 13

Class C2: Boone Central vs Cedar Catholic
- I don't know, this maybe isn't the one to pick. But, I'm real interested to see if Boone Central is serious - if so, we have ourselves a big one here. Cedar Catholic and those extra practices have these guys kicking it into gear! (it's a joke, relax).
Cedar Catholic: 40 - Boone Central: 28

Class D1: EMF vs JB
- Give me Sandy, Stanton and Crofton all in blowouts. Leaves EMF and JB as the remaining game. And it could be a doozy! That rematch from earlier, 32-28 decision in JB's favor makes this one exciting. Rematches are tough, and if JB wants to win it all, they're going to have to "re-beat" some really good teams. Like EMF and then Sandy... Tall task.
JB: 36 - EMF: 34

Class D2: Too good too pick
SRC's luck runs out
Loomis throttles Neb City Lourdes
LCC heads to the Semis (wow! good for them)
HD vs NPSP.. The real game of the week I guess after typing these out. Two powerhouse programs. NPSP virtually untested. HD always a contender and scary in the playoffs. Give me... HD
Howells Dodge: 40 - NPSP: 28

Class D3: Wynot vs Lawrence Neslon
- The other games should be good football games, maybe, but this one has something else to it. Lawrence Nelson has rolled through everyone, really untested. St. Mary's gave them a look for a bit. Wynot, almost counted "out" by most. With an impressive victory over Burwell. I think this one has the potential to be a major game, a must watch. I think... Points.
Lawrence Nelson: 52 - Wynot: 44

Nice list. I would say the only prediction that surprised me was Loomis "throttling" Lourdes. I dont see that one happening. They may win but I would have picked Lourdes to pull off the win. I dont know if Lawrence Nelson has an injury situation or not. But I could also see them beating up Wynot.

D2 will be fun.

I think SRC keeps it going for one more week
Lourdes beats Loomis, Lourdes has played a better schedule
Wil-Hil winning at Creighton was surprising, but LCC beats them this Friday
NPSP and H-D is going to be man on man. It should be a fantastic game. Irish rushing attack is no joke and their DL is pretty solid. H-D is H-D. They don’t make mistakes and have a great back too.

Wil-Hil winning at Creighton was a big win for them, but it is worth mentioning that Creighton's starting QB went down in the 2nd quarter with ANOTHER broken collar bone, which he also had happen earlier this season and came back from. Significant fall off with everything Creighton does on offense from their qb1 to backup. Props to Wil-Hil though, still a good win on the road in the playoffs.

It'll be interesting to see if Sutton tries to play keep away again this week.

Ya creighton was probably gonna score 60 points the way things were looking. Did the kid break the same collarbone he broke early in the year?

In addition to the starting QB getting hurt, I am almost positive that the Creighton backup QB also got hurt (possibly a broken wrist). So things really snowballed on them.

My guess is they will try a different game plan but they have hardly thrown the ball against anyone all year so I'd be shocked if they start trying to throw it a bunch.

Idk if they're trying to play "keep away." I think they're just playing to their strengths, which is running the football.
He was making a joke about the previous game and the ensuing argument about the strategy.

With Sandys QB dealing with an injury, it actually would play to their strength in this game as SC will likely air it out more than normal.

I hadn't heard he was dealing with anything. Any clue how serious it is? His numbers looked good last week but I see he didn't have any carries

Was also not aware he was injured. He's a difference maker, they may not need him this week but will definitely need him the next 2 to win it all again.

My best friends son plays on the team, and he really hasnt heard anything specific about it. Apparently he only played the first half on offense and never came out after half time.

But their coach said last weekend that they believe he will be close to 100% by this weekend(Hastings Tribune article) I wouldnt be surprised if they try to do the same strategy this week to try and not aggravate whatever the injury is. Now obviously we dont know how true that 100% comment is. They dont want to give the opponent anything to key on but it'll be interesting to keep an eye on. They dont beat Stanton without him running.

Sandy's QB looked fine on the stat sheet last week - over 300 yards passing according to maxpreps. But he didn't have any carries or rushing yards. I have heard that he had a minor injury and the coaching staff was being cautious. I am betting he is at 100% moving forward and should have no restrictions this week.

LN will be a fun one to watch. I'm interested to see how LN responds throughout the playoffs. Very easy regular season schedule with some news of the injury bug.
