It is confounding that Joe was dragged through the mud and forever disgraced for reporting what he knew to his superiors. He did way more with far less information, and yet Bo seems to be getting a free pass, relatively speaking.
Bo who?

Real Sports led off with it last night. It was a good piece, I believe the current assistant AD knew about back in the 70s - 80s when he was a trainer with the football team. Might have been the one who told the players to “take their medicine.” As you can image the story mentioned the tickle monster and Penn State.

Why didn’t they burn it down to the ground?

Excuse my ignorance, but how is it possible to deface the statue of an a**hole?

Remember. Michigan's Board at least tried to defend themselves. Penn State's BOT scurried like the cockroaches they are and threw gasoline on the fire.

I’m tired of people trying to judge events decades after the fact, or in the case of historical figures like Washington, Jefferson, Lee, etc hundreds of years after without trying to understand any of the context related to the period in question. This is virtue signaling and fake outrage at its worst and from people in the current society that ironically may likely be the most morally dysfunctional in all of history. For those of you gloating over this garbage remember that this is similar to the atmosphere where ******** vilified Paterno. Also, remember that Don Canham has also been vilified and he wanted to hire Paterno and eventually settled on Schembechler. I recall Paterno speaking highly of Don Canham and Schembechler back in the day as they were all pretty much contemporaries. I recall Paterno indicating that when he became head coach at Psu he wanted to model Psu on Michigan. Michigan people had a significant influence at Psu in Paterno’s early tenure with men like Ernie McCoy, the AD who hired Paterno, and assistant coach, JT White, who coached for quite a few years at Psu and coached Millen and Clark. Remember the events of November 2011 and stop with this nonsense. Rant over.

So bottom line: Bo was a great guy because Joe got along with him.
Joe initially got along with Jerry too.

Bo knew. Bo knew and did more than nothing. Bo covered up. Bo’s school, Meatchicken, are relnownned cover-uppers and deniers of fact. Bo is no Joe, who did the right thing and got hung out to dry. Michigan would rather perpetuate the lies than admit there were massive sexual malfunctions where they turned a blind eye, torched records, laid down bread crumbs of falsehoods. Same with their arch-shitbag rivals, the Suckeyes. Unfortunately, their conference leadership props them up without accountability. The Big10, owes Penn St it’s $60M bag. Give the money back or else.

Take them all down or put them all up.

If PSU (administration, alums, and students) want Joe's statue up I don't see why outside pressure has, or should have had, anything to do with it.

I wrote the PSU President the weekend before they took down the statue (a Tuesday?) and told him I'd never donate to PSU again if he didn't have the stones to stand up for Joe and leave Joe's more than well deserved statue up. It's still a sore subject with me.......

Wasn’t it a Michigan fan that complained about PSU’s hockey team having a 409 sticker on their helmet?

where is that fan now?
Yeah it was. Some random woman from Michigan sent Barbour an email about it. Of course Sandy had the sticker removed because some random woman from Michigan didn't like it.

Why didn’t they burn it down to the ground?

An email sent to the Free Press on Wednesday morning read, "This action is done in solidarity with the Hail to the Victims campaign," according to the newspaper.

"Bo pulled strings and bent over backwards to ensure that Anderson could keep his job," the email continued. "It is time for the world to know that Bo is responsible for the abuse of innumerable Michigan football players."

We may never know her thoughts on Bo Schembechler as Gretchen Nielsen is no longer on Twitter.
