We deserve worse.
When does the NCAA come out with a report that we have a "wrestling culture problem" and vacate all our titles to Iowa??? 🙄

I don’t follow wrestling as closely as many folks here, so imagine my surprise tonight upon learning that Nick Suriano wrestles for michigan. Didn’t he transfer from Penn State to rutgres because he wanted to be closer to home? Why did he leave rutgres? Graduate school?

He declined to win a National Championship, at Penn State, 'cause that's what we do!

Usually here on a football board, we're all bemoaning the .500 record of the past 2 years and the lackadaisical game preparation.....

But Penn State wrestling is the epitome of national dominance. Since Cael arrived, they have won 9 national titles in 11 years. And 5 individual champions yesterday is more than a dominating beat-down. It's total mastery of the sport.

It should be abundantly clear to anyone who is paying attention that the football program needs more of our collective knowledge and experience than the wresting program. But we will maintain a close eye on Coach Sanderson to ensure he does not slip up and we have to come in and straighten him out.

Let’s not go too far with the praise of Sanderson. We only had five individual champions last night. What about the other guys? We deserve better.

You’re correct as usual. We only won five out of ten, so it’s just another mediocre performance that’s becoming all to prevalent throughout our sports programs.

If "We have to come in and straighten him out" I will nominate you for the job. Good luck with that!!!!

Penn State is more dominant in wrestling than Alabama is in football. As a fan, I would be willing to trade a few of those wrestling national championship rings for one football national championship ring. But, I do understand all the wrestlers and coaches who are wearing those rings would understandably tell me to go f*** myself!

I never really trust a body builder heavy weight. I love Kerk but now I worry about this thick youngster

thoughts?

How long has it been since a fat guy has won at 285? I’ll take a healthy Kerk over the field next year. Of course, if the ASU kid does a transformation like CassiopI did this year then maybe I’d give him a chance.
What body type is this guy? What I’m looking at is between the knees and the chest.

Go find the footage of the gymnastics routine he did after the match. Keep in mind he weighed in at 263. He is lighning fast and has the power to go with any heavyweight. Shame he is leaving school early. Signed with the WWE. 2x champ. Olympic gold. Cassar beat Gable twice his freshman year. Only 2 losses of his career.

For comparison. Schultz weighed in at 284. The limit is 285.

I know all this. I’m suggesting the athletic big thigh big *** body type may be kerk’s kryptonite. Imagine these 2 in next years finals, you sure Kerk beats him? Did you see kerks 2 leg attempt on gable? No shot, too big, let go in 2 seconds. I hope I’m wrong, he’s one of my favs.
