Just because it's a stacked comf ur saying we're obligated to have a one seed? We're deep yea ..how's it punishing? I don't get it ..if it were a situation where we were on the bubble to make the tourney yea I'd take our adversity into conciseration but for a 1 seed no..
The committee must ask themselves, how would Gonzaga have done with our schedule and with Few out a few games. Would they have lost 8 games? Hard to say. But it's certainly a reasonable question, deserving of some consideration.
We would be the first 8 loss one seed. If ever there was a team to sneak through, it's us.
I can tell you though if the acc does get a 1 seed no way in hell UNC gets it over us if we win tonight...no way ..it's not happening though so whatever I'd rather be a 2 seed anyway less pressure imo with a young team
I agree with Denver. Any consideration given for a 1 seed should consider strength of schedule. We lost 8 games. 3 of those losses were to teams in the top 10 away from home. Some of them were bad losses.
We also won more games against the top 50 than anyone else. At least 3 of those wins came again the top 10. At least 3 others against the top 25, including wins at ND, and UVA, which are very tough places to win. Why wouldn't that be considered? Who else boasts that resume?
I don't think we get a 1 seed even of we win, but there is a strong argument to be made.

In my opinion an ACC team will be on the 1 line. If we win tonight I think we secure it.

There's a lot of shoulds with seeding, but the committee is going to do two things. 1. Get butts in seats and eyeballs on televisions and 2. create some media fodder controversy so they have something to babble about for a week.
UNC getting a 1 seed over or with Oregon or Arizona, Duke, Kansas, Gonzaga and Villanova is a travesty, but it's likely going to happen. I can't see Duke getting one, metrics be damned, although that would probably piss America off too.
The "seed ranking" they did to close the season failed in its first season because it's not taking into account conference tournaments.
All I know is two of the 4 "locks" lost in their quarterfinals and semifinals. Not indicative of a 1 IMO. Still I think the committee will have their minds made up.

ESPN does nothing by accident. Just like the win last night was a small little blurb on ESPN site. Heck, when UNC won the other night, you woulda thought they beat Golden State by 50 with how they had the main headline and 4 little blurbs on different things during the game.
I feel like neither UNC nor Duke deserve a 1. Duke finished 5th in their conference and has 8 losses. UNC hasn't won much away from home and has 7 losses.

We deserve the 1 seed after tonight. No one in the country has our resume. However, I'd be okay with the 2 seed in Gonzaga's region...

Ya know, there are a lot of people saying we don't deserve the 1 seed. But you can bet your butt that they'll flip their ish when we're the 2 seed in their bracket.

We deserve 2 number one seeds for the **** we endured this season and the beautiful butterfly we have become.
Not to be a debbie downer but CBS' Jerry Palm is the 61st ranked most accurate bracketologist out of 88. And most of the top rated ones do not have Duke as a 1.
