After a slow churning drive by Mitchell stalls out around midfield, a bad snap over the punterās head sets MH up with a very short field. They wasted no time. XP missed.

Penalty plagued first quarter for both sides. Mitchell with the lionās share, but MH with a holding-taunting double whammy.

Mountaineers with another methodical drive, this time inside the MH 25, but again no points. Well-timed pass breakup by MH in the end zone. MH takes over.

Mitchell continues to not have much of an answer for MH on the ground, and canāt muster enough on their drives to really threaten.
MH QB punches another one home in rather workmanlike fashion, and XP is good.

Cherokee is not a bad squad, just maybe a year or so away from competing. At one point it was 27-14 but Swain made adjustments and pulled away. 6 for Swain went down early, hopefully he is ok and able to go for Murphy/playoffs.
