I found the answer. Harry Statham holds the all time college wins record with 1122 career wins in 52 seasons at NAIA school McKendree. So Coach K should become the all time winningest coach at all college levels.

Yep he should hit that next season. Wow! 52 seasons at one school. K has only been at Duke for 38. He'd have to coach 14 more seasons to equal that.

When I was reading about him, I got the impression that he was pretty much forced to retire this season.

Oh wow! How old is he? 52 seasons, he has to be in his 80s right? Also, he has the most wins, but was his final records competitive or was he only winning 10-15 games a year?

Yo, Q, that would be 21+ wins a year. Unless you were trying to work in blown wins, the math is pretty straight forward. Of course Stats and Stuff is a lot more complicated than typical statistics.
