UGA, Michigan, Washington, FSU if they all win out. If one of them loses, it’s anybody’s guess. Lots of good 1 loss teams.

I don’t see it. Georgia is in win or lose next week. They lose then Bama in too. Mich prob in win or lose too because they will never skip the BIG entirely with only 1 loss. PAC winner in. FSU wins they are in. Texas going to jump OSU, they win they’re in before OSU. A LOT would have to fall in to place for the Buckeyes. Or at least I think.
And I have to say I think the Gators are too stupid to beat the Noles. Jesus, what a bunch of boneheads.
We're going to roll all of these PAC 12 teams like they're B1G West. They even look like they never saw a weight room.
Michigan kid OL update-
- Zinter was carted off the field Saturday in the Wolverines’ win over Ohio State and Tiffany Zinter, Zak’s mom, said later around 8:30 p.m. ET on Instagram that he is “heading into” surgery for a broken tibia and fibula.
- Certainly no bueno for his draft stock. At least should be a "recoverable" injury.
Sounds like deja vu all over again. Oddly familiar ring to this. 
Conversely, Ohio’s State’s Ryan Day is facing a Michigan-induced identity crisis. In an effort to become “tougher,” the Buckeyes pivoted from the high-flying passing attacks of Dwayne Haskins/Justin Fields/C.J. Stroud to a more blue-collar, defense-first operation, only for the season to end with the same result. The Buckeyes notched a couple of hard-earned wins over Notre Dame and Penn State, but ultimately, it’s another unsatisfying 11-win season for Ohio State fans, whose team will now slink off to the Orange Bowl and a likely date with 10-2 Louisville.
The best news for Day is that the 12-team Playoff debuts next year. Presumably, Ohio State will be a regular. That will give the fan base a wider array of goals by which to define themselves other than, “Did we beat Michigan this year?”

All those exciting rivalry games yesterday spotlighted how regrettable it is that Penn State lacks a bona fide rival

This is all hypothetical of course but Pitt hasn't had a national profile since Dan Marino
So........what does that mean in the context of having a season ending opponent?
There is no correlation to PSU having Miami be a season ending opponent, with the exception it gives all the PA snowbirds an excuse to head down I-95 a little earlier than normal.
Not in the typical sense. Our defense is long, quick and athletic. We are great at rushing the qb, sealing off the perimeter and covering the pass. But we are not big and physical....especially along the interior. Manny Diaz has done a tremendous job to compensate for this. Our secondary is so good that when a team tries to run on us we can place more people in the box. But we still are challenged by the more physical teams like Michigan and Ohio State.
There is, or at least was, bad blood between the programs/fans, not just from 1/2/87 but also from games in the early 90s. That could have led to a great rivalry starting in the mid-90s if we joined the ACC. Instead we got the Big10 and an annual tilt with MSU
Yeah....that's because Miami has bad blood with everyone - it's part of their athletic culture.....
Getting back to your post about PSU's bona fide rival - none of the former eastern schools (and I include Maryland and Rutgers) ever really were on the same level as PSU. The closest was Pitt and that was primarily during a 10 year window from the early 1970's to early 1980s....
Michigan State is a end of season game...(which I personally don't find exciting), but at the very least, over the course of time, it's 19-18-1 for PSU. (But 18-10 since PSU joined the Big). Assuming fan vitriol is an important component of creating a rivalry, Ohio State and Michigan are higher up on the ladder than anyone else that PSU will play on a regular basis.
The Pac 12 teams are more undersized than 90% of the B1G teams we demolished defensively this season.

Agree on this. If all win except FSU, I think Texas jumps in with a win. One-loss champion trumps one-loss non-champion. I think the Oregon-Washington winner is in. Chaos scenario is Alabama beating Georgia. Then, all the eggs are scrambled.
If that happens, and FSU, Michigan and Washington win, who gets left out? Texas has the head to head, so should be the SEC out. That is a nightmare all right. Please God make it happen…
Lou Holtz was right…they are soft. It pains me to say that. I’m not a Holtz fan.
