  • On my way. In Crossville Tn. overnight. Will Stop in Inman SC for a couple days and up to Rougemont NC Friday. Will listen to the SWO vs Trask game there. Then on down to Jacksonville to see my Stallions vs Croatan live for the first time in a lot of years. I did watch them win the 1AA title a few years back on video broadcast. I will be back in Mo. for the Playoffs. Hope to see some of the ole Top Row crowd at the game the 9th.
GOOOOO STALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllIONS

That's impressive....you inspired me to see how many miles I drove during my senior year of college.....back before I worked at South Granville HS and have been their stat guy/reporter/bracketologist, etc. for the last 14 years...I grew up near Hobbsville, NC and went to Gates County HS and kept up with them all through college....anyway, Fall 2002, I was driving from UNC-Chapel Hill and went to Manteo, Hertford Co., Currituck Co., Williamston (now Riverside), Roanoke (now South Creek), a Gates Co. home game against Northside, and playoff games at Franklinton and Williamston (now Riverside), often stopping in Greenville on the way to visit my wife (then girlfriend; not quite fiancé yet), and according to google maps, I logged 2594 miles over the eight road trips....I even attended the 1A & 1AA state championship games at UNC between Elkin/Southside and Albemarle/Williamston and didn't get in the car.....just walked from my dorm to Kenan Stadium....but I NEVER, EVER logged anywhere close to 1270, one way, for any one game...for your sake I hope the Stallions put on a good show and don't let you down....besides, it would really make things difficult for us bracketologists if an upset that crazy happened right now

In 2003 and 2004 I made the same trip to watch SWO win two straight 2A titles. Also made the Eastern finals in the same trips. Im in Inman SC right now and will stay thru Friday night and listen to the Trask game here. I was going up to NC friday but now will be Saturday.

Nothing better than a road trip with a high school, college game (and sometimes NFL) weekend.

Fartherest, DeLaSalle (Concord, California) versus Byrnes (SC). On the way saw Dutch Fork (SC) go against Kyler Murray led Allen (Texas) the previous week in an offensive shootout.

Have seen the best teams in about fifteen states play at home.
