open the 2016 Baseball season at home on Friday. Guess who is the lone road ranger ? Even UT and Missouri open at home. Missouri hosts Seton Hall, and Tennessee hosts Memphis.
Maybe when we get our new stadium with field turf, we could actually open the season at home for once. I know that bad weather is always a possibility in February, but heck if Missouri can open at home !

Missouri is playing Seton Hall in Fort Myers, Florida.

Tennessee is playing Memphis in Chattanooga, and then heading to Arizona next weekend.

Playing surface is one thing...but guys really don't want to play in what normally is 30-40 degree weather.

Looks like Louisville is going to dodge a bullet with the weather this weekend, but I'm guessing most years they would rather open in Florida.

I wonder if they didn't go to Florida to start the season because they don't have the money with all the traveling they have to do in the ACC? They play at Boston College, Miami, FSU, Wake Forest, and UNC, and then have the ACC tournament in Durham. That can't be cheap.

Didn't know that about Mizzou and UT, the SEC page had them listed as if playing at home.

Playing at home to start the season would be nice, but at the same time, you're not going to have too much of a crowd at home to begin with anyway. Might as well get somewhere warm and get in as many games as possible. Play some really solid teams in tournaments and pad your resume before getting some easier games at home before the SEC schedule.

As long as Henderson is the coach, you aren't going to draw much of a crowd anyway. I for one am boycotting until he is gone.

Say what you will , but TJ ,Otis and their boosters see to it that ALL THEIR programs have the $$$$$$$$$$ to be successful unlike UK (and not just MB) haven't done that years...I will attend (live in Lou)several UK bb games this season ,but I believe thus is going to be a long season
