Yeah the thing that is more concerning to me is that his offense hasnt really evolved much, he doesnt have much of a top game either.

He will have a couple nice wins between now and ncaa's but also a couple of more losses. But he has shown he knows how to win in March.
You just described 90% of brands era athletes

So, we agree that it would be a good move if we pick up a PSU hand-me-down and score more points at nationals than we would without him on the team?

We might. I mean, it was a totally different point than I was making, but we might.

Sir Ironside is hoping on a wish and a prayer. If Jax competes 2nd semester, Drake is dropping at least another spot No way he is beating him. And I’m not an Okie State fan.
NAH, I would want him to BURN this year because he isn't winning SheeEETTT or beating Drake!!! I was just giving some insider intel that was passed on TWOOOO me!!!

MANY kids seem willing to WASTE their time/effort/eligibility at F*** st and now wanna beee F*** oak st!!! Going to be real interesting seeing who is LEAVING these GARBAGE programs????

Dude, you can live in your fantasy worldworld Jax is World Class. Drake is almost, but sorry. I’ll feel sorry for you if they actually match up.

That is ironic that you would post that. Good luck. I guess you don’t get out of Iowa much.
Given recent revelations from within the program...do they teach testicle grabbing in the Ped St wrestling room? We know they did in the fb room. Is that the "fun" we keep hearing about?

Yes, if Jax wrestles Drake this year, I’ll take Jax. Happy to wager anything you want.

Nothing against Drake, he’s one of the top 2 guys you have, but Jax is something special.

I would probably favor Jax because he would force and win scrambles. That's probably what Jax is best at and what Drake is worst at. Drake a slight edge on his feet but the intangibles imo favor Jax.

I like Drake, been a great wrestler for us and most years you love him to be the 133 but in all reality under Brands we have had better 133's

1. Clark
2. Ramos
3. Slaton/DeSanto
5. Dennis/Ayala tie although I think Dennis would win as he just had more fight

Jax could be one the best 133's in NCAA history.

Hes not a 133 unless he wrestles this year. Next year he's a 141 the cut to 61 (134) has been difficult and that's 2 weigh ins. He's not gonna be making 133 for 15 or more weigh ins a season in college . He's also a 65kg (143) in 2028

I'm not sure about that list, Drake has finished as runner-up twice. Any of those guys do that? Correct me if I'm wrong, not looking it up.
Never mind, I looked it up. 🤣🤣

Dennis and Ayala are on the same level? Seriously? Were you not a fan during those years? Results on the mat over the course of a career do mean something, right?

Are you saying Dennis was better or worse than Ayala? If you go by entire career, I don't think you could argue Dennis even with Ayala, let alone above him. But, by his senior season, I would definitely say Dennis was actually better. 133 was absolutely stacked that season. He beat Franklin Gomez, the defending National Champ, multiple times. He finished ahead of NCAA Finalists/Champs in Jordan Oliver, Tyler Graff, Boris Novachkov and even a young Kendrick Maple was in that bracket.

On top of all that, he had Ness BEAT. If he actually knew how to run away for the last 15 seconds or so, he had the cushion to take multiple stall calls, he would be a Champ. He battled injury a bit early in that season, but he was a monster in March...Oh, and Ness would go on the win the Hodge that season!

Yeah, what @MSU158 said. I couldn't tell either, for sure, but I inferred you thought Dennis didn't fair well Fr-Jr years as well as Drake (i.e., corresponding careers completed). Drake starts years slow, but his career isn't even over.

Anyways, it wasn't clear to me whether @Slick Kitty was referring to career, best year, or senior year. Maybe the answer differs based on which was meant.

Drake was expected to have a great career, being a top 10 pfp recruit. Dennis never won a state title and was a walk on if I recall. He way over performed in college.
