Sheets has just been very disappointing this season

Hasn’t looked like it all year. I guess he at least allowed us to redshirt some freshmen.

He is injured and wrestled like it. What we got out of Sheets and Whitlake in the end was more than should be expected.

If Sheets can wrestle on one leg with a torn ACL and AA then I would hope that he could similarly find a way to get put together a couple of ugly wins at nationals on two good knees. I believe Sheets is suffering from the same thing Gfeller had in 2019 where he managed to somehow win B12's but laid a goose egg at nationals. Rib injuries are extremely painful but I wouldn't count Sheets out just yet. I think for Wittlake the injury is a hurdle he wont be able to overcome wrestling with it at nationals. I saw in a brief OSU max interview that he said he hasn't really dealt with many injuries in his career.
