I would have signed up for that at the beginning of the year. 3 games in front of us that are decent matchups for us. Every season has it’s ups and downs. Stop the game-by-game overreaction. Let’s go and get it!!!
The so called overreaction is caused by the offensive scoring trending downward which leaves very little margin for error.

The game by game reaction is actually a response to losing 4 of the last 5 game including 2 at the RAC. A very disturbing trend considering our better than expected start

Considering we will probably be lucky at this point to make Tournament, it's a massive disappointment from just a couple weeks ago. But what can you do? Air Mag went down. Next year we get 'em.

People forget that we never match up well vs Michigan. We got clobbered there last year, & lost to them Twice (MSG/Home) in 2020. Yes, without the early substitutions, & better free throw shooting we could have won this one .
But a split of the Wisconsin & Michigan games is still OK.
A Q1 win at Penn St (or home vs NU) should be enough to get us into the First Four. Add a win At Minnesota (which most expect, but not guaranteed) should clearly have us in the main field.
If Minnesota is the only win, then there is work to be done in the BTT.
I know we lost the last 2 at home, but Senior night against a team we match up must better against (& who Michigan beat twice), I do not see us losing to..

I hate when people come here and say stuff such as “stop the game by game overreaction.” I don’t like this term, but that’s gaslighting.
Oh, so we’re the crazy ones now because we’re upset that we held a team to 58 but still lost by 13?

We don't match up well with anyone with no Mag. If we are to sneak two wins, some of the remaining four starters will need to dig deep and steal us a W. Probably Cam.

We lose 4 of 5 overall, 2 in a row at the RAC, can barely crack 60, a team that shot 5-16 from the foul line last game and have little to no depth. But the fan base is overreacting?!? We’re FANS!!!! This is what we do. We come on message boards and discuss the game.
5-16 truly is abysmal. Less than 33% on our home court in big game.

To be fair, losing three out of four has to be one of the worst stretches in the history of college basketball. Not sure a teams psyche ever recovers from that. Honestly next year might be in jeopardy too

One game overreactions can be annoying. 1-4 post Mag is a concerning trend. There is a difference
spot on , many of the fans that know basketball are not over reacting they are simply reacting to what we have been watching since Mag got injured.

Sounds like your psyche may not recover from losing 3 of 4. The rest of us will continue to root for our team.

Losing 3 of 4 extends into next season? You can’t be serious.

It's no overracting anymore and the excuses need to stop. I can make the excuses for the next three Ls.

Hey listen PSU was embarrassed by us last time, on their home court, they really needed the W.

Minnesota on the road, long season we just need to get ready for B1G tourne.

Northwestern is hot, tough to beat right now.

I personally see us going 1-2 and limping into the B1G tourne and if we're not careful we will miss the tournament.

Caleb and Paul need to step up and the bench needs to step up big time. Specifically Dean, Wolf, Oskar and Simpson.

Did you watch the game? They’re done, possibly forever. That’s why the whole crowd was booing them.

The new players next season might not be affected the the current ones definitely will

Yes, that’s exactly what happens. Sane, rational discussions. Never any knee-jerk, mean-spirited over-reactions.

Make your foul shots & layups
Not too much to ask

The free throws I ageee

But this whole “make your layup thing is a JOKE

Same with everyone criticizing cliffs inside adoring

James Bailey was a first team all American in 1977-1978…and scored 23.5 ppg

He was 313 and 533 from the floor

Take out his 133 DUNKS….he was 180 for 400…45%!!!

From a first team all American

If you took cliffs dunks away…he will be around 40% fron the floor

What are you expecting him to shoot on all of those CONTESTED shots …even if they are short range ???

Understand the game fellas…those Lay ups and short shots on the move ….are mostly contested and at the speed okayed, are not like shooting in a lay up mines

Yeah but Jim Baley or whoever was good. Cliff is a stiff who can barely jump

This is a good point. It’s about trends and RU fans aren’t stupid or blind. We know this team and we know what we’re seeing. I’ll be honest, I thought we’d lose to UM something like 72-59 because we couldn’t keep up with their scoring. But for us to hold them in the 50s and lose like this drove me nuts. This is where we wanted this game and we blew it.

I really thought “Jim Baley or whoever” would be a giveaway but you really cannot outrun Poe’s law around here.

He needs to take his meds now. I hope that he survives until the opening tip.
Well, you thought I was serious with a post saying that losing 3 out of 4 was “one of the worst stretches in college basketball history” and that the confidence hit would extend into last year. I am not sure what that says, but it says something about someone.

Disagree with your assessment comparing Bailey to Cliff. It's like comparing strike outs of your cleanup hitter/mvp on a world series team vs one on non contender. Plus my comment not singling out Cliff in particular. Missing bunnies at key times seems to be a team wide issue.
