Before the season, would you have signed for 17-8 at this point? I would have. 17-8 and 8-6 in the Big Ten exceeded my expectations. This season is part of the building plan and an NCAA bid would top off everything. Next year we should move to the next level. We do need more outside shooting, but this team plays hard all the time and relentless on defense. very happy so far.

No brainier,of course.Hey, at this point, I would have signed up for 17-14, with a 1st rd. loss in the B1G tourney, and be over .500. Now, that would be a major fail at 17-15 but still better than so many experts in the media predicted.

The close road losses and stretches of bad defense are frustrating. But coming into this season I was hoping for an NIT bid. Now I am hoping for an NCAA bid.

When we win a meaningful number of Big Ten road games we will have something. Many folks do not watch, or do not go out of their way to plan activities around watching, televised road games.
