This one got pretty wild on the simulations! I couldn't pick Buchanon over AJ because of the common opponent records and head-to-head. AJ is 19-1 (going all the way back to 21) and Buchanon is 22-10, with the head-to-head being 2-0 in favor of Ferrari.

1 - Beard
2 - Ferrari (couldn't pick him to win it.)
3 - Cardenas
4 - Buchanon
5 - Salazar
6 - Surber (he worries me)
7 - Stout
8 - Munoz

Surber certainly can perform to this spot, but man it a ton of close calls. Braunagel may get him in the 2nd round? But I've got him going to the backside after a loss to Cardenas, then beating Glazier (another close one) and Munoz before falling to Buchanon and Salazar.

Beard has the same chance of winning the title as me.
Haha, I simulated that entire bracket from the quarters on. Only taking picks against the sim if the past history was pro a different Wrestler.

When Barr went down and Buchanan lost, my handle on the weight went with it.

I’ve seen Beard wrestle a number of times. I just don’t see him getting past Cardenas/Buchanan to then face AJ/Barr. Barr majored Beard in November as a freshman. Barr when healthy is a slight dog to Buchanan/Cardenas. No way Beard can hang with those guys, and I haven’t even gotten to AJ.

He’s 3-1 versus Cards…

Chase, are these your picks or simulations from wrestlestat?
A combo of both.

I don’t always take the sim from them, but I do look at the common opponents and head-to-head on almost every match.

I also look at recent results in close type decisions. Helps with injury/weight issue thoughts.
