MS4EVER - Thanks much. I was worried it would be a Cleveland guy (they have East 87th St in the Glenville area and West 87th b/w St. Edwards and St. Ignatius). VHS or Youtube?
Fl..20, as the neighborhood changed in the 60s and 70s and relied less on Catholic schooling, there was probably a spurt in school-age population that had to be served (similar to what you see now in the hispanic parts of the SW side in the heretofore St. Rita recruiting grounds), thus Julian was built. It may have also been intended as a reliever school for Washington Heights to keep Morgan Park (public) H.S. as somewhat viable for the Beverly/Mount Greenwood people who didnt/coudnt do parochial schools.
