1A TOC Champion - 2007 Buffalo Gap Bison

You the fans of 1A/Division 1 have voted the 2007 Buffalo Gap Bison the best team of all the state champions since 1986. The Bison outlasted 29 other teams including the 2003 Sussex Central squad.

The 2007 Buffalo Gap team went 14-0 defeating Clintwood in the Division 1 Final that year. Their closest game that season was a one-point win in the regular season finale against Luray. The Bison outscored their opponent 492 to 239 and had two shuouts

Congrats to the 2007 Buffalo Gap team on being the best of the best in the 2016 Tournament of Champions.

Going to go ahead and say it, personally I think the '97 Appalachia team would have smoked Gap if they actually played. Probably the best 1A teams I have ever watched play the game with Turner, Clark, Jessee, Varner, they were just so balanced and held the X-factor with Tom Turner as coach.
