Mitchell’s gonna give any team they play a good game. They’re that well coached. They might struggle more against an athletic team like ES than a more ground amd pound team like Murphy. But they’ll be a tough out for anyone.

Seriously? I think the staff as a whole does a great job and Mitchell’s lucky to have them all. Even the non Mitchell grad who I think is a phenomenal coach. Wherever they place him . Mitchell county is lucky to have him.
Not sure on the offense. I know Mitchell is just beginning the meat of the schedule but they are averaging 60+ more yards per game than last year.
At times they have struggled with the passing game but I feel part of the reason for that is it is more diverse than the past. More quicker an intermediate routes. Timing has just been off and a few drops here and there by all receivers. Noah seems to be looking for other receivers more often.
They are averaging over 10 yards per carry as a team. I know the schedule has been strong but that is still pretty impressive through 6 games.
We will all find out more about this Mitchell team over the next month. I'm just going to try and enjoy watching this group of seniors for every game they have left. Special group of young men both on and off the field.
Agree with WNCHoops regardless of results Mitchell county is lucky to have the current o coordinator in any capacity. As well as all of the coaches, they give so much time and effort.

Apologies if that is the way I came across. I didn’t take it you thought he was bad.
I was just saying the offense has been really good. But I think I had too high expectations coming into the year. I think another reason that maybe they have been, not the word I’m looking for but, sluggish at times is Travise is playing more people earlier in games than normal trying to improve depth.
I do think the defense has stepped up this season, hopefully it isn’t just due to opponents.

I didn’t think you were but give credit where it’s due. Last yrs Mitchell team maybe out preformed the team the year before and the team the before was loaded with seniors. Really good seniors. Last yrs team had 8? This yrs team is back loaded. I think Mitchell exceeded expectations last year by a ton. Had the state champs going into the fourth. The year before it was over by the fourth.
