There's nine schools in the region so I figured the top eight to advance. I think I saw on another post that Surry and Altavista still stood a chance so I figured eight teams.

Wsls has Altavista at 1-9 as eight seed going to Riverheads. Is this just them not knowing only six get in?

That's what I'm wondering, too. This original post indicates six teams, same as last year. However, I saw another one that indicates eight teams.

I reasonably sure Riverheads and Lunenburg have a bye this week. As to why Region B does it differently than others, I couldn’t begin to understand that. I wish we were still in the 16 from each half crossover system. There was some travel but really good games that came out of that.
