Someone explain to me like I’m 5. Through 7 games our offense has 314 yards and 3TDs on our 1st drives. We did not score against SC State. We fumbled against LSU on the first play. We drove the field for a 10 play 72 yard drive against Oklahoma producing 0 points.

Considering how inefficient our offense has been, why can we be successful here and lack production for the majority of the rest of the game?

Are we unable to adapt? Scripted plays, your jimmies and joes still have to go execute.

It's like the 1st drive plays are the only plays they practice all week. 🙂

One poster suggested that the 15 or so scripted plays are the ones that see the most practice leading up to the game. This would help explain why execution seems crisper on those.
