I "love' this new habit of Tommy's to only run east-west. that way we pick up way less yards than if he just turned it up field

I noticed the same thing the last couple games. He's shying away from contact and not fighting for extra yards. I wonder if he is being coached to do that or if he is so beat up he doesn't want to get hurt more.
